  • Mine still does and I'm 44

  • Great! Funny song!

  • Funny how some of those songs of our youth stick with us.

    Fun Tune!

  • They do, they do...

  • Awesome stuff. Tony. Watch out for those mice!

  • Are you a man or a mouse? C'mon, squeak up!

  • It's an earworm.

  • It's finished but I'm still laughing! Me thinks I'll watch again......

  • Thanks a lot

  • can i just get THIS on my ipod? or maybe you could make a nintendo version of this song?

  • I'll get an mp3 and send it to you

  • Whoever was wondering about how old Ronnie was, I used to work in a hospital on a stroke ward and Ronnie was one of my patients after several quite serious strokes. He died in 2001, I believe :(

Still, we had lots of fun singing this song across the ward for weeks, and he didn't get tired of it :)

  • Guess what- I remember this reeealy well - excellent !! :)

    Clip clippity clop

  • bit of an ear worm, isn't it?

  • great playing Tony! and the last few seconds...LOL!

  • Cheers Russ.

  • Man buys a hamster from a pet shop, but it died so he took it back and complained. The shop owner told him to make jam out of it.

So he did but it tasted horrible so he threw it out the window and forgot about it, but in the spring to his amazement there was a whole row of tulips growing outside his window.

He went back to the pet shop and told the owner about this miracle but the owner was not surprised and said

Don't you know you get tulips from hamster jam.

    I'll get my coat

  • THAT is possibly the worst joke I have ever heard in my entire life and you should be ashamed for committing it to posterity here on my channel. AND I can't wait to tell it to the first person I see.... he he he

  • Fun song, Sounds like a nice life, living in a windmill in Amsterdam.

  • Yeah, but you'd have to put up with being a mouse. They are tiny and their clogs must weigh a ton. Those stairs would be a nightmare being that size and in that footwear. Frankly, I don't think you've thought this one through. Nice life!

    Thanks.

  • nice job Tony

  • Thanks

  • Absolutely terrific Tony. Stunning accompaniment.

  • Thanks, Ken. Believe it or not that arrangement took me ages to work out. I even wrote myself some tabs (that I can't really read) which is why I'm looking down in the video.

  • I can believe it. Your backings are getting really classy.

  • where?

    oh , over there

  • ...yeah, over there. You can't miss it. It's a little mouse WITH BLOODY CLOGS ON.

  • this is brilliant. i'm actually REALLY familiar with this song. you'll have made my mother's YEAR, when i show her this. top!

  • Cheers, Shane. I really hope she enjoys it.

  • This is fantastic. I had this on my "All Aboard" nursery rhymes 33 LP when I was about 2. Ha ha ha.

What a brilliant idea to do this one. 5* :)

  • Aaaaw! Sweeet!

    Thanks

  • What memories from that list-you mention the unlikelehood of Justin and Beyonce doing childrens records-can you really see an 'Uncle Mac' being allowed to do a childrens programme now-those innocent days are long past!!

  • I know. Sad, isn't it?

  • Another great one and am sad to admit that I am old enough to remember Ronnie Hilton!!

  • Hey! It wasn't that long ago - can't be 'cause I renember him too

  • Reckon you are looking around 1965! and Uncle Mac goes back to 1957/8 if not earlier! Ronnie must be at least my age if not older (67)

  • Shhhh! Don't tell everybody

  • as I recall,he used to appear on the Billy Cotton Band show (with the original Billy Cotton!) and His son Billy Cotton Jnr died not long ago in his 60s after being controller of light entertainment at the Beeb!!!! shhhhhhhhhhh!!!

  • Oh, god. Stop it. You're making it worse.

Seriously, it was sad news about Bill Cotton - he was a truly innovative man in the world of TV

  • Ok Tony, I will stop, was going to mention the Palm Court Orchestra,Alma Cogan and Kathy Kirby-but wont !!! Sure was sad about Bill Jr. Often wonder whether Ferne Cotton comes from the same dynasty

  • Answering my own question, Bill Cotton Jr was (wait for it!) her fathers grandfathers cousin!!!!

  • ...and I'm my own grandpa. All together now

  • Alma Cogan......

hmmm. That gives me an idea...

  • Just dont start going around yelling 'Wakey Wakey' LOL
