Well I did look it up. Lambo engineers redesigned the viper engine to fit into a car and make it lighter weight. Lambo engineers redesigned the vipers V10 engine which was originally built for a truck.

Oh yeah.. because we all know Lambo had a v12 in their work trucks and just decided to cram it into a car. Dodge had that engine in a Ram pickup for a very long time. I doubt lambo was even in their heads at the time. Dodge's biggest competition is Chevy, always has been always will be.
