@tingles03 I suppose you're not familiar with the distinctive whine from the supercharger on a 03-04 cobra.  That's also why the whine matches up with the shifts from the stang and not the sube.

@japslapr so he the mustang won. dosent matter if his gearing sucks for highway he shouldnt have raced there. my chevelle was geared so that it would snap anything off the line untill after the 1/8 mile. i couldnt beat jack shit on the highway. lucklily i fixed all that with a rebuild and new tranny.

@mastaajbomb Ummm.. depends on what you call "won." If by "won" you mean zoomed bye when the Subaru let off the gas, then ya, I guess he "won." Regardless this was not a proper race in drag racing terms (which is what you're talking about). From a stop through the 1/4... and NONE of the cars that day wanted to do that vs this Subaru. The car was built to trap in 4th gear with this transmission. It was later swapped out with a 6pd which made the power more usable.

The wrx is only on 18 psi. If it was a rotated turbo with fmic and meth he could push 28+psi. Now think, 1psi is around 7-9whp. If hes making 400whp on 18, he would be around 475-490. That being said idk if it would keep up with the cobra on the bottle tho.

You can go race down the drag strip for 20$ in most places.... no tech inspection, nothing. Road courses will be quite a bit more expensive to do. I agree tho... especially as a Subbie owner, lol. Taking turns is way more fun... riskier throwing a 50+k car into a wall.. but more fun.

Not quite sure what you mean by the best its got, but there are PLENTY of Subbie's faster than this one. This is one of the fastest USDM 2.0l Subbie's you will see but STi's and newer WRX all have a 2.5l in them and obviously make more power when built. I love Mustangs as well. Grew up with them.

yeah the wrx would break first but i mean when you are pushing the cars limits that is to be expected but that is the fun. I am leaving mine at 400. I need no more than that. It is built to handle that so it should stay reliable, unless i get the bug for more power. I hope not.

How you doin JAP?! You never got to pull on me like that! lol! Last time I went to the track I pulled a 1.7 60ft. and went 7.2 in the 1/8th with that garbage cluth that was hard to shift/slipping. I'm sittin with +200 more rwhp and a DFX clutch now. I did a few more things to the suspension and slapped on some new M&H rubber on the back. I'm almost ready for this season. What's up with your car?

Subbie is done. My next car will have an M or AMG emblem on it. There's nothing you can do to your car that wiull make me overly impressed with it. Yes it is fast, wont ever deny that... but it is done and over done. Boring for me. I did take the Subbie back to the 1/8 track after a new tranny and bigger turbo and went 7.4@100mph w/ 1.8 60 ft on 93 Oct. It should've run that 11.5 on pump gas.... quite easily. But its gone....on to bigger and better things. Next track car will be 1xxxwhp or bust

well i had two friends with cobras and they made with bolt ons 650whp and 800 ft lbs with the 150shoot...do research and you will see...your car its preatty fast but on race gas the most i see car pick up its a 100whp thats why i mean that you will losse to that cobra on the juice

Well, this Cobra still has a Eaton on it. NO Eaton powered Cobra will make 650whp. They usually sit around 550whp with a ported m112. These pulls on my car where on 18psi... The car picks up an average of 12hp per pound of boost up to 32. You do the math. I love Cobra's. They are BAD ASS cars... but if you think this one would walk away from me with both of us running all we have... you're wrong. Now,my car will certainly break before his does,but I'm making WAYYYYY more HP per liter than he is.

That cobra only made 520rwhp on the juice. When I had the stock eaton I made 530rwhp with a 2.93 upper and no juice. lol! Put on a 2.8 upper and i'm at 550 rwhp and no juice. lol That car would NOT beat JAPSLAPR race tune if he was on the juice. BUT the cobra would be able to drive home and the WRX would have to be towed. lol

On this day, yes. He was making 460whp and I on pump gas at 18psi only made 400. Also, keep in mind, NONE of the blown Cobra's there that day would run me from a dig, even with my power disadvantage. I posted the video because I don't care about losing and I thought I faired well. There is also a pretty big difference between 18 psi and 30 on my car. I pick up more power than his shot of nitrous adds him, thats for sure. BUt I would also have the same traction problems he has on the street.
