They should just put Leon, Claire, Jill, Carlos as the main protagonist in the story and telling us how they survive from City and how they defeat U.S.S. It's nice they are available in Heroes Mode and also including Nicholai, Hunk, Ada, Lone Wolf.

I have always wondered this. From 1998 to modern machines, the costumes of the characters, weapons ... this could not be at that time. Feyl number one. But the game still like it. @ViRuSGame1 well we have to look at both areas, from most of the old game perspectives the characters are usually put in a situation where they were either unprepared or did not know how serious the situation is. But from this game we are seeing the story where we have people who knew full well what is happening and are able to counter effectively as such this version is meant to not be a survival horror. I believe this game is for people who may not be fans of the originals.
@ViRuSGame1 in addition we probably see Resident Evil from different perspective you see it base on mostly on game play and the original survival genre. I see Resident Evil purely from the storyline (note that doesn't mean I like the movies they change the characters and story too much) to me the story and the characters are what makes the game special
Whoa. It's funny, while I was watching this, I kept thinking to myself, "Is this a Resident Evil game for real?" Not trying to start any comment wars or anything, but I almost thought that this was a new Left 4 Dead game or something else. But since it is a Resident Evil game, I'm quite surprised with the new concept in the gameplay. Still, I wanna try out the game first before I make any clear judgements on it.

@yeti112 On watching it again, the licker took the weapon from her. I'm a normal civilian, the normal thing for a civilian with no engagement training would've been to run back. A licker is just a further mutated, infected human, so roughly the same size as a normal human, it might be a bit heavier due to talon weight but a field merc who can't lift or atleast drag a normal HWP male body wouldn't be hired anyways. Make no sound=safe.
looks like a cool story line but why cant they ever show the game play in trailers. alls they do is show a long ass cut scene which may not even be in the game. either way im buying it :)
@"true diehard fans", admit that there was no real horror ever since your first play of the series; slow moving zombies that everyone has learned which they can avoid to save time, ammo, and healing items, you liked the challenge of being put into a survivor state of mind which was shattered when they dropped from things you killed. Don't pick them up, simple as that. They still had stationary item pick ups in 4 and 5 along with your trusty old knife.
@rikuki I'm not afraid of changes, as I said in a previous coment "It's not a bad thing", actually changes are necessary. If the RE games still would be in the old style they sure are boring and just repeative. But this now is just ridicolous, well if you like it, fine for me, I will give this game a chance and playing it too. I'm just afraid if it's just another of capcom's "Got to have MONEY" projects.

All this trailer has shown is how low the Resi series has fallen. Where's the horror? All they've done is taken Resi and added lots of guns and explosions. Weak. Any true fan will avoid this.

They are always changing the style, which isn't a bad thing, but they are totally going the wrong way. Seriously just look at this trailer, it's a mix between L4D and the RE movies. Also it's to risky to get infected by the licker (acording to Matt) and who can do such a fight anyway? If it would be a zombie ok, you can take it out with a knife, but a big monster with giant claws, it wouldn't surprise me if the licker didn't even feel the stab and managed to bit that woman XD

As a huge Resident Evil fan, I used to have my doubts about this game. But I must admit, that was purely epic! Good to see that Slant Six is continuing the cinematic touch that the series has had for a long time.

Heavy armors, Matrix moves, team work......shooting games are getting so....generic, I miss the feeling of RE 1, 2 and 3, always with little ammo , usually alone, with more realistic dynamics.

@"true diehard fans", admit that there was no real horror ever since your first play of the series; slow moving zombies that everyone has learned which they can avoid to save time, ammo, and healing items, you liked the challenge of being put into a survivor state of mind which was shattered when they dropped from things you killed. Don't pick them up, simple as that. They still had stationary item pick ups in 4 and 5 along with your trusty old knife.

@rikuki I'm not afraid of changes, as I said in a previous coment "It's not a bad thing", actually changes are necessary. If the RE games still would be in the old style they sure are boring and just repeative. But this now is just ridicolous, well if you like it, fine for me, I will give this game a chance and playing it too. I'm just afraid if it's just another of capcom's "Got to have MONEY" projects.

All this trailer has shown is how low the Resi series has fallen. Where's the horror? All they've done is taken Resi and added lots of guns and explosions. Weak. Any true fan will avoid this.

@spawngregory69 That's not really correct, it's changing, just look at the latest RE game, RE5, REUC, Operation Raccoon city. They are always changing the style, which isn't a bad thing, but they are totally going the wrong way. Seriously just look at this trailer, it's a mix between L4D and the RE movies. "OMG it's a licker! I have to throw my gun away and kill it with a knife and special matrix technik, so everyone can see that I'm like Alice".

@rikuki So, would you do the same thing? Besides this isn't realistic at all, I believe that a licker is heavy, at the moment when she stabbed the licker it's weight would fall over her. Also it's to risky to get infected by the licker (acording to Matt) and who can do such a fight anyway? If it would be a zombie ok, you can take it out with a knife, but a big monster with giant claws, it wouldn't surprise me if the licker didn't even feel the stab and managed to bit that woman XD

I know RE since it was still in the classic style, the games had a normal plot, the characters were realistic and even though their were a special police unit they couldn't do magic action That's what I loved of those games, now the characters are action heroes It's good that they changed stuff but it's not my style I never liked that in any movie/game

A lot of people think that I'm just like most of the dislikers "The RE movies suck because aren't like the game" and "I hate changes" But that's not me, it's true I'm not a big fan of the movies but I liked the first one, it had some survival horror and the characters weren't some superheroes. @yeti112 I liked the movie, but I'm also not a fan. They look like just movies, nothing to do with Resident Evil. I can not understand who came up with the plot for these movies? And then some sort of super power, especially in the third part - "Telekines, Umbrella manages Alice via satellite" WHAT? No .. it's not Resident Evil ... .. it's probably a mixture of "Matrix", and even some sort of fiction.
