Yeah, the game has to be installed first in order to find the folder where you paste the crack.

no. Some times people upload a installed/cracked game. so the torrent you download is already installed, so all you need to do is to copy it to program files, but the problem is there might be some missing files. so its best to do it this way.

That's also not a guide on how to crack a game, but how to use one.

When you mount a crack it disables any game to play online; due to change in the code. Always have a backup.

basically. an alternative is to download a cd image file or iso and mount it onto a virtual cd drive (like daeman tools). u wouldnt need to install anything since its already installed. i did it when my lil bro cracked his sc broodwar cd. to avoid wasting more money, i just downloaded the torrent and now i just mount the iso into the virtual drive like instead of loading the actual(broke) cd
