his explanation is that there is a person out that who only wants to buy 1 unit, and is actually willing to pay more for just 1 unit cus he doesn't need any more.
Because the benefit he gets from them is higher. Take for example air travel. Students are charged less because they cannot afford so much for the tickets and business travelers are charged much more for the exact same flight because they have to take it and are willing to pay more for it.

yes. same sort of thing. look at another of his vids where he explains that MC=market supply curve (this is a monopoly we're talking about).
