"Very dear friend of mine, Mr. David Crockett" I find that funny because in so many other promos Ric threatened him and told him how much money he made the company. I know they were friends behind the scenes but watching all the Ric Flair promos from this era would make you think otherwise.
I always liked Flair better as a heel back then.He was good as a face, but Ric was way better back in the days as a bad guy telling everyone about his nice clothes, gorgeous women, and so on.
Ric Flair was a fighting Champion, he fought both babyfaces and heels, so this shouldn't be considered a babyface turn so much as the fans rallied to Flair against Nikita Koloff at the time.
This was Flair's only semi-face turn between 1984 and 1989, and he really didn't turn completely face. He just cut his usual promo, but since it was Nikita, the fans cheered him like crazy.
I think my favorite part of this is watching David Crockett and Tony Schivone laugh as he really gets going. "Everybody knows I live in a big house on the Big side of town"
It's SICKLE TIME !!! Woooooooooooooooooo

@shizzle5150 Actually he was usually referring to Jim Crockett, the owner of the promotion.

Does anyone have the attack? This is one of those angles where for a while I thought, "Man, this IS real." One of my favorite times in wrestling.
