  • @666turbobusa Wouldn't you rather spend some time in the kitchen tho, getting satisfaction from making your own stuff from scratch? knowing exactly what went into your meal? If tacobell advertises their wraps as being under 200 calories, fine. But deep inside we all know they use cheap, half-arsed and generally rubbish ingredients making it. Home cooking is the way to happier lives!!! right?

  • Love this healthy rice salad recipe! I posted a response for a vegan rice salad I make. Rice salad is such a good way to bring a different and healthy dish to a pot luck or BBQ. I brought my rice salad, and I was surprised that the guys ate more of the rice than their burgers!

  • 1 cup brown rice= 218 calories

    1/2 cup red onion=32 calories

    medium cucumber= 8 calories

    1 cup spinach=41 calories

    calamata olives 1/2 cup (about 24 olives)= 204calories

    basil= negligible

    1/2 cup feta (fat free)=60 calories

    1Tbsp. olive oil=120 calories

    whole lemon juice=12 calories

    218+32+8+41+204+60+120+12= 695!

  • Someone asked about seeds and skin in cucumber. There are two main types of cucumber, and the skin isn't edible (or at least not very good) In the kind that has lots of seed. The skin on those is too tough.

    That's what I've always been told anyhow

  • I see your point but you don't really save time because the amount of time it takes to cut up the onion cost time. To save time you would have to buy the product already chopped up at the supermarket where someone else does the cutting for you. Then again if you're going to the supermarket to buy the chopped up onion only then you would waste more time driving there and purchasing it. Yeah it only takes me less than two min. to chop up an onion. She needs a chef's knife which would be faster

  • Yes I do! I basically chopped up the onion ahead of time bc most people know how to do that and we didn't find it necessary to put on camera.
