  • I wonder what the Mosses think about the way this groom was treating Giacomo???

  • Something about this groom doesn't sit well with me. I don't like it that he jerks on these studs shanks when the horses are doing nothing to warrant a correction.

  • I wonder why they didn't breed Zenyatta with Giacomo instead of Bernadini.

  • HAve either of these two guys produced any G1 winners? I know Afleet Alex has...

  • does Adena Springs allow farm tours?

  • Not as such, but individuals may call the farm for an appt to view the stallions

  • @Jakeandsonny alright, thanks!

  • Pretty mannerly studs... don't know why folks are talking about "stallions killing people"

  • Hung like a horse :)

  • didnt Mime Smith ride Giacamo? or was it another horse?

  • it was him

  • ghostzapper,u naughty boy!!why were u trying 2 bite ur groom!?

  • Giacomo!! *hugs horse*

  • hheheh pratice makes perfect horses theeth

  • Giacomo from what I've heard is a bad boy. He still has a llama face, haha.

Dear God, Ghostzapper is like a statue! He's a peach.

I'll tell you which stallion to me was the most dangerous: Silver Ghost! Nasty bugger. He was still one of my favorites, had some very nice fillies.

  • I guess a lot of people have,nt been around race horses, especially stallions, they can fucking kill you.

  • By the way, those stallions are not "chewing on the lead", they are attempting to grab the grooms arm.

  • 1500 lbs of aggressive breeding stallion. Try with a cotton lead you will end up with holes bitten into you. The shank in the mouth distracts them from grabbing the grooms, and they will bite. They are not kitty kats but breeding stallions in their prime. The chain is a small measure to maintain control and respect.

  • i have no problem with a shank in the mouth. it's when the horse is harmlessly chewing on it and the groom yanks. i work with some very strong horses. i don't correct them unless they go for grass or don't stop walking when i stop.

  • the grooms are yanking because Giacomo and goshtzapper were chewing ont here lead ropes that not aloud but i do agree thats to hard of a yanking for something like that!

  • they yank on them for absolutely no reason. they just stand there and the groom yanks. i know you need to be tough but i don't like yanking for no reason.

  • yea I agree, I was watching that. I'm not usually too critical of grooms like this but really, ghostzapper was just harmlessly looking at something when the groom just went YANK for no reason.

  • They're trying to bite the groom.

  • we must be watching two different videos because i see two relaxed horses, ghostzapper is chewing on his shank but not going for the groom, giacomo could not look more relaxed

  • Could be. I wouldn't know, I've never owned a Stallion before. I was just referring to what I've read, and that sometimes, Stallions will get antsy. I HAVE seen Stallions try to bite their grooms.

  • yes, stallions can try to kill you, barbaro's sire dynaformer has bitten off fingers, but i just don't see aggression in this video

  • But yes, Giacomo is rather relaxed. I was referring to mostly Ghost. But then again, it's late at night, and I have no idea what's really going on~

  • Giacomo's ready for work. Zapper looks great.
