What episode is this from and what year did this episode aire and why did they put Alan Jackson on this show, if it's very funny?
Keith Urban doesn't play on the studio version just in the video. Brent Mason does play in the studio version.
At 1:48, why was Tim Allen in the mercury and why did he decide to put on the cowboy hat? I was going to say at 1:48 is when Tim Allen puts on the cowboy hat, he sure does look a lot like George Strait, doesn't he & they sure do look a like don't they?

No wonder it looks like very cowboy style because of Alan Jackson and Tim Allen both in cowboy hats as if for all real rodeo cowboys & cowgirls of the best steer wrestlers, calf ropers and bull riders as this looks like RODEO GROUP!!!
Alan Jackson with Tim, Al, and Heidi. While Alan is singing Mercury Blues, he unware that Tim is monkeying around inside a 1950 Mercury Monterey Custom.

a crappy show with a crappy country music fag singer. The perfect combo! Do people even watch this show? Isn't tim allen a junkie with a criminal record??
This is really good. The guy on the dobro does indeed rock. The drummer's cardboard boxes have a cool sound; dig his drum rolls at the end...The drone of the violin really sets off the sound of the song, its fantastic...I love that traditional country sound of the bass going back and forth like that....The dude on harmonica is a badass and it's cool he's wearing a tool time hat..The other guitar player is good but he needs to be louder perhaps. Alan is great. These guys tear this song a new one!
supernovajohn792: You should hear the session guitarist that usually records guitar for Alan Jackson--Brent Mason. He's outstanding and one of the most recorded session guitarists of all time, I believe. I believe the original studio version of this song features Mason on electric guitar and, if not, whoever played guitar on the studio version sure imitated Brent Mason's playing well!

Didn't this scene used to have "audience laughter" when Tim does something stupid like break the radio in the Mercury, or was that only on the show?

Alan must have had about 30 minutes in the studio... because they went with a horrible take (nice acting Alan). One and done for Mercury Blues.
