  • Im the kind of person that can only be charming when there is one of my best friends around. But when i went on to college which is located out of my town, i basically lost my ability to be funny. im just saying to tell you that you are not the only one who feels lonel, you just got to wait until you meet someone who is your friend materials. but in the mealtime, you cant give up and have to keep searching them. i dont know if i can cheer you up, but i truly hope you will simile again. *hug*

  • my highschool experience was odd, I wasnt part of any of it, but I got to watch everyone else be part of it. it was odd, but I felt really left out, and I still do, eventhough Ive been done with highschool for over a year, but oddly enough eventhough it wasnt great, I still really miss it, I guess its all the little things that made it better for me, I liked that my school was like a family, eventhough I wasnt part of that family

  • Okay so this is confusing because I'm from England so our education system is different..but basically our version of 'high school' is secondary school, we go there from age 11-16. I hated it. I got picked on a lot. I hated myself and I felt so self conscious. I became depressed. Although I had friends..they turned against me because of my depression. I started locking myself away everyday, and cutting myself. Now I'm in college (where you go from age 16-18) and I'm even more depressed.

  • Drew! I'm in high school now, and it's been very weird for me. People are nice to me and I get invited to some parties and things, but I never feel like these people actually care about me. I went to a small private, so when I started high school I felt like everyone had known each other since they had been in diapers. There I was, in the epitome of what a fresh start is, but I feel like everyone only sees me as the random girl who appeared out of nowhere. I love you Drew!

  • i think we chould all have a prom and you can come so you can have fun hehe :') <3

  • I wish I could give you the biggest hug <3

  • thats so fucking weird. i'm currently going through the same exact experience right now. i'm in an online school now, and now that everyone is starting senior year and getting their "senior sweaters" (i went to al all girls school with uniforms) i kind of feel left out. let alone the whole prom thing.

  • Drew - there is no "normal" high school experience. For anyone. What is shown on tv (Glee, secret life, etc) is not an accurate representation of the majority of high schools. I'm entering my senior year of high school soon, and I am so sad that i'm almost going to graduate. I've been at the same school for 13 years and have had the most unconventional high school experiences. I am excited for college, though, as you should be! Are you going to go to a residential college??

  • I think you've kind of summed up my high school experience so far. See, my dad is a Marine, so I move a lot. In February I moved to a 5A high school in TX. It's so different from what I'm used to, I used to live in the north so the way I dress doesn't fit at all and I'm really shy and I'm not very good at making friends. I'm a varsity swimmer so I know I'll meet people that way. But in 9 months, I'll be moving again. And 12 months after that, again. 4 high schools in 4 years.

  • I reaaly want to jump through the computer and give you a big hugg... we love you drew!

  • I'm wiping my eyes, Drew... this is so emotional for me because of my own High School experience. It's crazy how you are so real and humble but to me you're famous and you're honestly my favorite artist because of how beautiful you are inside and out and how you show us the girl behind the voice. I honestly think going to prom with you would be the coolest thing ever! You should do a "Prom With Drew Tabor" Contest... that would be soo awesome. (:

  • Ya I relate I was new to the school Im going to and when your new there's ry no place to fit I thats how I felt none of the groups want you most do t have any room so I felt like a big bother I did talk to people but never had any true friends..... Still don't this school years gonna SUCK

  • I'm from Australia, so for us, highschool is years 7-12. at the moment I'm in year 8, and I'm already kind of dreading four more years with some of these people. I mean, I have made some pretty amazing friends, but I've also realised how much I hate some people. plus, my school's all girls and we have to wear a uniform, so it's nothing like what we see on tv and movies plus we don't have prom, we have 'year 12 formal'

  • Im in high school (year/grade 8) and i hate it, at first it was good because i had my best buddy who i have been freinds with for 4 years but then she moved ages away so i made some new freinds and i just recently realised that they have been calling me behinde my back so now i have nobody, and im getting really sad about it so im moving to where my bestist buddy is !!

    <3 you music drew <3

  • There are many things that make you so much better of a person than being one of those people who have the 'highschool experience' but one of them is that HAYLEY WILLIAMS, LEAD singer of PARAMORE introduced me to your music when she posted it on HER personal tumblr. I'd like to see the day that that happened to one of those people. I'm sure your life is going to be a hell of a lot better than theirs, they may have what you would like now, but your going to have what you have in the future

  • I'm sorry your experience was so terrible :( you seem like a very lovely person. You're very real and easy to relate to. Also, this is very off topic, but you have very beautiful eyes :)

  • I was okay with my highschool experience. I feel for you but I think highschool is what you make of it. It was a give and take, you can't decide to alienate yourself and then expect to have a fun prom. If you went to prom it wouldn't have been fun for you because it wasn't with friends. I have had much more fun just hanging out with friends than I did at prom. Of course you are missing out on a life experience but it is not a defining one. Be who you are.

  • i also hate highschool i dont talk to anyone either i always sit on my own and also ive had my arm brokn (intentionally) i only hav 1 frend only when he wants somethin every thursday i get into a fight .. well more of a period of about 10 mins of me getin hit and i get a detention for it every friday & then groundd for getin a detention then on monday im persistently mocked about my cuts & bruiss & so on so moral of the story id love to have your highschool experienc also id go 2 prom wiv you

  • Prom, Me-you? ;) How can no guy want you? Your an amazing person, yeah high school is currently a drag, there are the separate constitutions, but all together we're a good year group. But it's just so boring, lessons get tougher and more challenging, and during summer (currently) you get coursework and just adds a struggle to the 6-7weeks off. Never be discouraged by people Drew. Your a lovely person, with an amazing charisma, and a new subscriber, commenter and all around fan :)

  • Gosh I'm exactly like that! So shy nd quit never talk and when it comes to partner time o gosh its horrible! But thank u for making this video becuz it made me realize that u only go to highschool once and just whatever who cares about what other students think of you I'm going to just be myself my next highschool year which is my junior year! So yeh thanks for the vid!:-)

  • i didn't go to my prom and i kinda regret it too but i just have to keep thinking to myself that there's nothing i can do to take it back. you have your whole life to look forward to so you shouldn't dwell on high school. when you become a famous singer everyone from your high school will regret not talking to you. you're beautiful inside and out and you have an amazing voice. i'm sure you'll go somewhere far :)

  • continued:

If I never. You could be my date :3 - just kidding. I am only going into grade 11. :P - I am in Canada :\ blah. :3 oh well. :( life is just glorious! most of the time. and dont cry! D:

  • Drew; I enjoy high school, but there are times I truly do hate it. Most of the time actually. Although, it's not my evironment either, and I hate that people don't know who I really am, I have close friends, but I am shy. I don't like to talk much either. It's pretty shitty. Btw, the movie Prom is amazing. I am from a small town, like population maybe 300 people, we even had cheerleading. Everybody got along, but the bitches like to separte themselves. I hope I have a good prom, cause it'd suck.

  • omg tis made me cry

  • Your high school story id kinda sad and hard to beileve because just based on some of your videos you seem like a cool person who i would enjoying hanging with. True high school does sometimes take alot out of you, but in life somethings in life do that they just suck. anyway i guess my main point in this post is if we went to school together i think we could have been friends and made our own group. haha :)

  • it's okkkkk :) i'm in the same boat honeybun!

  • Drew I'm 8 yrs older than you & I can tell with every ounce of seriousness sweetie, high school means nothing. I know right now it seems like you're missing out on experiences & not doing what most your age do, but soon you'll realise that who you are & what you're doing, right now, is far more impressive than any high school prom. You have thousands around the world who look up to you, myself included in Australia, & you Drew, have talent that many would dream of. You're amazing, just know that

  • Drew tabor ,

I HATED highschool , no I never got picked on and I had friends ,

Buuut that's not what sucked for me.

See I had this best friend that I would always hang out with pretty much everyday , until one day she moved to California ..... She was never just a phone call away. She promised to be my highschool lunch buddy , and invade you forgot what that is , here's the definition = a buddy to sit with while eatin lunch everyday no exceptions. So that I would never eat lunch alone .

    See

  • @rochonlover11 ahahaa I know :( if we were LUNCH BUDDIES the everything would have been good!!!

  • I love your makeup and eyeliner especially in this video!

  • ok well 9th grade was horrible i went to High school and i didnt even know what the teachers were trying to teach me! i was confused so yea i failed like 90% that year lol um10th grade i switched schools same town differnt school that year was fun loved being in school with my bestfriend!

11th switched again to the alternitve school that was fun! met new ppl.

12 switched to reg. high school and alternitve so i went to school for 10hr everyday :/ but i graduated on time! and i didnt go to prom

  • I would totally go with you to prom. you're awesome!

  • My high school experience was like this too. just boring.. and awkward. everything was like, quiet. not really exciting. now im finishing in home school. when i said i was gunna start homeschool people were like "omg youre guna miss out on the highschool experience".. i dont see it as such a big deal. its kinda just dumb.. lol. and its a waste of my dfay to since in class all day when i can be doing other things and take my classes on my own time at my own pace.. :/

  • I can relate, a lot.

I don't know if ANYONE has a school experience like ANYTHING in movies or on tv... but that person is NOT me. I've moved so many times and this last one (116 days ago) sucked and does suck. As everyone tells me, repeatedly, it should be better next year... but I don't really know...

I totally get the no obvious stereotypical cliques issue... and I don't fit in any of the groups other than the weird, artistic, and "new girl" group, which is just me.

    You aren't alone!

  • I can really relate... I just moved and I barely talk during the day, my only "friends" I only talk to on the bus though...

  • I can relate

  • You just summed up everything I feel about high school in this video

  • I wish I was your friend in high school! I want to be your friend! :D

since you like music you should of done the band or something.

I did band and my love for music grew! I just want to hug you! i didnt go to prom either for pretty much the same reason as yourself. but I wish you could of been my prom date! :T

well I love your vids watch them all the time! <3

  • I wish I was your friend in high school! I want to be your friend! :D

since you like music you should of done the band or something.

I did band and my love for music grew! well I love your vids watch them all the time! <3

  • I wish I was your friend in high school! I want to be your friend! :D

  • I hate high school people are so mean and they think that what they say doesn't affect you that's really what angers me and makes me hate high school, I don't usually cry and people think I brush it off but it all just builds up and I cry myself to sleep sometimes, and I get angry with myself that I let them get to me, I really do hate those kind of people, but I guess you'll find them wherever you go not just high school. I really don't think that was related..Just needed to rant I guess, sorry

  • I wasn't very social in high school. I did have a two or three really good friends and I would hang out with their friends but I didn't really like to because it just wasn't my thing. I felt like I didn't really fit in with them even though everyone was really nice! I didn't do sports or join any clubs either and I kind of wish I did because I feel like my expereince would have been better. I started getting more social around my senior year though and it went better but high school wasn't great

  • oh my lord, i was messing around with buttons on my computer whilst watching the beginning of this vid and i def thought i managed to mess my computer up and speed your video up! FREAKED out hahahha

  • can i give you a hug? :)

  • YOU MADE ME CRY!!!! are you happy now! xD jk but i did cry... =(

  • Drew, i feel so bad after watching this<3 but im still in high school & it is rubbish :( i dont fit in at all... xxx

  • Also, prom is for suckers who want to spend $80 dancing to stupid music and wearing uncomftortable dresses in a middle budget hotel or hall, awkwardly I might add...This is coming from northern California, so you're not missing much!

  • Drew, at least you weren't picked on! That leaves such a huge imprint on people YEARS after high school. (I still feel bad for bullying this girl in middle school and that was in '02) I was kind of opposite of you my high school years though. I spent them being the "class clown" lol. Sometimes I wish I paid attention more but generally speaking, it wasn't that bad. I guess you have to be the one that makes the experience, you know? Consider your experience quiet, but extremley mild. :)

  • So, in conclusion, I don't think you should worry about having "missed out" on that high school experience. It's pretty obvious that you are on your way to a big, bright future and I think it's best to focus on what you're going to get to do as opposed to what you never got to do. Onwards and upwards. :)

  • I was (and still am) a big theatre geek in high school. Sure, I didn't always get the roles I wanted or whatever but I was always happiest when I was doing theatre. By no means was it my "glory days" -- I'm going into my fourth year of University now and while I am loving it just as well, if not more, I believe my glory days are always in the future.

  • I can definitely understand where you are coming from, wishing you could have that quintessential high school experience. I might be one of the only people on here to say so, but I loved high school. After years of being bullied and just hating elementary school, high school was just plain awesome. It was nice to be able to show those people who thought so little of me exactly what I could be without them and realize my potential.

  • When I was in School I would sit there and count down the hours until I could go home and listen to music which expressed exactly how I was feeling. I was basically a music freak. At prom I felt alone even though I was surrounded by a room full of people, but it was the last chance I had so I just came out of my shell I guess...and I regret not doing that for the previous 4 years. Even if high school didn't go well, you have an amazing talent and future and no-one can take that away from you! x

  • canadian eh? awesome!

  • I absolutely love you! Your music is amazing and you just seem like the coolest girl ever!

  • I was really open in HS, I could talk to most anyone do whatever.. But I didnt go to my senior prom.. it was kinda lame the first go around.. I mean High School is nothing really to worry about.. its where I made a lot of friends/ acquantainces that I now know outside of school. The real world outside of school can be really fun and friendly at times. atleast where im at for who I am it is. After school, your schedule really opens up. you're practically free. =3

  • ps. if you go to college try to be more open and talkative :D and im going to do the same. OR you can just become famous already so i can buy your albums on repeat for like everrrrrrrr :) bu yeah, i dont see how you dont have any friends cause you seem super awesome. okay im done i promise

  • im definitely not ready to grow up and im scared for life outside of hs but im glad its almost over..sorta. i hate everybody in my schooleveryone is just so ANNOYING. haha. and i am going to prom, but i feel like its something i HAVE to do instead of something i really wanna go to. i mean i dont even dance anyways, and i dont like anyone in my school except for a few friends and my bf, i guess those are the only good things that cameout of it. my friends and my bf. but still..idk, HS suckstheend

  • aww this makes me feel bad for you :( my high school experience isnt exactly like yours, but i can some what relate to it. im a senior..in hs(obvi) and i feel like i havent done anything exciting or life changing. i feel like these past 4 years have been a blur..it was boring and repetitive. same shit different day is all i can say. i do have some friends, but i just thought that hs wouldve been so much more fun and exciting. i thought that i wouldve found myself..but really im still lost.

  • This was my high school experience, to an exact. When you were talking about the bus with people from school and not talking to them, that was my life for years. I would never EVER talk to them, not because I didn't like them, but because it was just not my thing.. I didn't go to my prom, or anything ever at my school...I had one friend and that was it. We tried to go through school as fast as we could..but my life after school is so much better now..and trust me, it gets better! God bless!

  • @bluenalu7 aww that DOES sound exactly like my experience.. I'm glad that you can relate and I'm even happier that things are better for you now <3 thanks for sharing!

  • @thedrewlife Thanks for the reply :) I mean I could go on and on about school life...it was just not a normal one for me lol. But, I met my boyfriend and he is from Australia, and now I'm there with him and my life is just amazing! All the memories that I had of school and the stress that came with it, are just faded away, because I found something that has topped all those crappy moments! God helped me through the hardest times of my life as well! If you ever need to talk, I'm here for you :)

  • i can relate

  • :( This video makes me sad.

Personally I loved high school, but my university experience was very similar to your high school experience. I can definitely relate in that sense.

  • well right now im a freshman, this is my first year in the town in this town. i do things to make people happy, im the cheerleader... but honestly.. i wish i could be the girl thata didnt need friends. i rely on my friends. without them.. im lost.. im nobody.. i hate it. i wish i had the self confidence to be like you, Drew. i honestly envy you. i try so hard to be prom queen.. to feel excepted.. hell.. just to get glances from guys.. i wish i could be like you.. your naturaly beautiful.

  • @LOproductionsx aww I'm sorry to hear that... It's good to rely on your friends sometimes but I hope you feel more confident to be yourself! Life really doesn't have much point when you live it for others so try to be strong and be true to yourself... you are a wonderful, beautiful person and knowing that is WAAAY more important than being popular <3

  • I know exactly what you mean! you souldn't feel like that... i usually just, like, get atached to stuff and i would be even more emotional, but, i'll give a piece of advice that i wanted someone to have given me: don't worry about it, just move on... Well my high school was not exactly perfect and we don't even have proms in my country, but i'm trying to take the most out of my life everyday, and so should everybody.

  • you look so pretty and it is there loss if you wasn;t there, you are amazing and you know i enjoy your videos. You seem like such a sweetheart with a heart of gold

  • I'm just finished my third year of university.. Wasn't really a fan of high school. We didn't have typical cliques at my school either. Nothing tragic happened but it was just generally such a downer! Prom really wasn't a big thing at my school. I mean it was but it didn't seem like it. I was a bit of a floater in high school. I just wanted to let you know that life is waaaaay better after high school! I can't even begin to describe how much better it is. Keep your head up high. (:

  • im a rising soph in college-enjoyed high school enough but like you i wish it didnt seem to pass by-i only had a small core group of friends+wish id connected w/ more ppl-@the time high school+especially prom seem to be this huge deal, but looking back they are really not, its just the hype.my prom group was 5 couples+me going alone-that sucked loads but the other half of prom was still fun-after a couple years, you learn to look back at good stuff, no matter how small. life holds so much ahead.

  • OMG this is the most important video to me I have ever seen. You perfectly described my high school experience. The prom at my old school happened over the weekend and i felt so crushed. Thank you for making this video it was brave and it made me feel better.

  • I started homeschooling one month onto 9th grade. So Im not really getting the high school experience either. I also felt like I was missing out on smthn. The month I was there it wasnt all that great like I thought it would be. :( But I dont really care about it anymore cause well....Idk! :P But please dont feel down about it! I felt so bad when you started crying! Just remember you have all your fans here for you! :D

  • i feel the exact same way

  • You lasted way longer than me.... I switched to cyber school my sophomore year. I do really want to see the movie Prom and I'm sure I'd feel the same way... See I was in the popular crowd when I was at highschool, but then I spiraled downward and lost myself. It took leaving to even have a CLUE to who I am, but then I get back into it almost and lose myself that quick again. I went to prom both this year & last, and I'm not even sure why. I want to talk to you more cause this message is over---

  • @amycolalella aww I totally know what you mean... thanks for sharing !! <3

  • honestly, like high school will ruin people and just because your missing all those experiences, which isn't a big deal, things will work out better for you. it's a shame that people in high school didn't take the time to get and know you because you have such a creative personality and it's a shame people didn't see that. everyone has to do stuff they don't want to i guess but high school won't even matter 10 years from now, only the stuff you learned from it.

  • I feel ya. Except my case is worse considering last night I went to prom with my boyfriend of a year and he broke up with me in the middle of it all. High school has absolutely sucked for me, so you're not alone.

  • When I was 12, I was living in London and went to a private school (very snazzy) and I was like the less.. um.. posh kid. And I had a 1930s Secret Sisters hairdo, which I got practically beat up for. I was top in all my subjects and when I was 15, I decided to go punk. I got a lip peircing, an eyebrow peircing then got chased out the park by real punks for not being real.

  • i enjoyed my secondry school (high school) experience until my very last year. i became head girl and everyone i knew changed and started acting different, like i wasnt good enough for them. i went to my prom with a friend idknew forever, but everyone bullied him, so they hated me for saying yes to him.

im now at university, and i dont speak to ANY of the people i knew, and it still does upset me. i have about 1 main friend can rely on nowadays, but it does get better :D

  • Your actually awesome. I agree, high school changed me. It sucks so much.

I hate high school. Don't even feel bad, high school is definitely not for me either.

Can't wait to graduate out of this hell hole. Your amazing Drew <3

  • omg, don't cry. I would really like to cheer you up.. I'm actually going through the same but I do have friends, but they don't really feel like my real friends.yeah..that sounds pretty weird. I thought high school would be better, but I live in Holland and we don't even have prom and everything..soo

  • @LondonGirl107 I'm from the North West and we call it high school over here, some people call it secondary school but it's the same thing really, and yeah we have a sixth form but it's mainly school that I just don't like at all. x

  • I'm in the uk, and I'm leaving high school soon and I'm really quite upset about it cause I've loved and hated it but I think what upsets me is that I'm never going to talk to these people again, I've spent five years with them and had some of my best memories with them and after this summer I wont see half of them again, but then I just have to think that high school isn't the be all and end all life is made up of so many individual amazing moments and we should cherish them all .

  • I'm from the UK and before you posted this i didn't really know what high school was like for you. I didnt know if it was how you see it in the movies or completely different. Im glad you posted this video, it made me understand what high school is like. Everyone who watches your videos, including me would all love to be your friends and once people start to hear your music, you'll forget about it. You've got great things ahead of you, and never forget that we'll always support you ! :)

  • Mine doesn't have a sixth form, we have to go to some other schools, which is worse :L

  • That movie made me a bit sad too!! I thought I was the only one lol

  • I love high school. High school has been the best four years of my life, and I only have nine days left. :/ I'm so scared! I wish you would have had a better exprince though. :( I honestly can say I love it, and I'm going to miss it so much. :/ But you have an amazing voice, and super cute personality, things are going to get so much better for you! :D Keep your head up, stay postive, and never give up on your dreams! You can do anything!

  • This video bummed me out big time. Im also graduating this year but now im wondering what ill remember of my highschool years ten years from now.

  • Drew. DO NOT EVEN DARE worry about high school! Ok, so what if you weren't the slutty cheerleader! Or the jock! I don't see any of them being famous on youtube! I don't see them singing as good as you do! Do you see them getting trillions of views everyday? I didn't think so! You smart, beautiful, talented, and unique! (NOT in a bad way! Lol) Look at it this way... You have everything you could need! talent, beauty, i could go on all day. I love you and it makes me sad to see you like this. Ily!

  • @mig29diamond yaaaayy :) i'm so happy that you're having a better time now !

  • I WANT TO HUG YOU AND BE YOUR BEST FRIEND THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL! I LOVE YOU!!

  • @hannaahrose aww... that definitely sounds like me... my fans and supporters are what keeps me going.. I love you all :)

  • I wish she would look into the camera.. instead of at a screen or whatever

  • Comment removed

  • im a sophomore, and i hear ya., but yet i have two more years to go :P I mean yeah i have friends, and they make it fun. But yet at school theres just that at times i, myself dont have a place there, And im agreeing with you on that whole tv high school experiences haha c(: Life is hard! :P but yeah....Love how you did this, its so raw & real, another reason for me to love you and call you one of my inspirations♥(:

  • i freaking hate highschool. people are so rude. i haaaate hs.

  • I hated high school. I guess my experience's not completely the same as I live in France, and there's nothing like "prom", cheerleaders, etc... But there are stupid people everywhere ! lol Besides I think you're so talented and brilliant that you can't be like the others. It's just my point of view, I'm not saying I'm right. But when you're passionate about something (music, arts or whatever), you're special. And maybe you haven't been lucky enough to meet people like you in high school. :) Hugs

  • I feel so bad you deserved so much better

  • television shows exaggerate high school so much. in reality it is not really like that. For our prom the fire alarms went off, the police had to do an expection check, and some girl's dress tore. Of course there are some people who have everything that is in a great high school experience. But hey, think of it this way your whole life is ahead of you. You are going to be able to experiment with new things beyond high school. Prom is one night, Life is a whole other thing :) im corny, sorry haha

  • @gracefuldancer16 I know... ahhh that does sound like a bit of a distaster... thanks for the encouragement :) I feel a lot better!

  • Believe me, you aren't alone in feeling like high school isn't all it's cracked up to be. I guess for some people, it really is the best four years of their life, but I mean o really don't think so. I'm only in grade 10 so I guess there's time to change things around but so far I have very few friends. I came from a private school and then switched to the public high school so I didn't know anyone there. I kinda just focused on grades instead of social aspects. I guess the second year has gotte

  • @BieberFever13 aww well it's good to know that I'm not alone... I guess it's good to just focus on the postivies and try to get good grades <3 I hope things work out for you!!

  • @thedrewlife thank you! I'm trying to make the best of high school. Next year I might try to join clubs to find people with similar interrests and make new friends. I really don't want these years to go by wasted. I'm sorry you didn't get an ideal high school experience but hey, you seem like you're pretty happy posting videos on youtube! Happiness isn't based on perfection. Everyone has different ideals and thats that. Do what makes you happy :)

  • I am in that exact position haha. I've got my prom coming up and I just feel like I shouldn't even go because I don't really feel a part of my school. I watch all those movie's about high school and prom and stuff and I love them but it's so depressing haha. but a lot of the most successful people in life had a crappy high school experience because they didn't try to be someone they weren't and they weren't scared to "break the mould" and in high school it's safe to be the same as everyone else

  • @Bessiesmusic15 awww I totally know what you're going through.. cheer up :) hopefully things will get a little better for you!

  • someone from canada needs to step up and take drew to prom! <3

  • omg i love you so much your so down to earth clearly people in your school didnt know the real you because your awesome so its a loss for them that you werent there:):):):)xxxxooooxxxxxox

  • @xxNazxx1997 aww THANK YOU :) your comment just cheered me up a lot !

  • @thedrewlife :):):)

  • You have your whole life ahead of you - dont let this worry you! I have hated and loved high school - we don't even have prom! I have one year left and it is just a lot of work. My school seems to like work! If you go to college then you will get a new start and I'm sure there will be loads of things to make you feel more involved! You're amazing! xxxx

  • @ellacbeemusic aww well thanks... I feel a little better now :)

  • Have you ever seen the show Freaks and Geeks? I think you would love that show. You should rent it from netflix or something. Possibly the best teen tv series ever! You kinda remind me of Linda Cardellini's character.

  • My high school experience was very similar to yours.

  • Drew come to England and we can have our own mini prom ;D

    How does that sound??? <3

  • ...Like I feel like I should have already left. It's not because I think I'm really smart or better than anyone else because I know I'm not, I don't look down on people or anything it's simply the way I've always been. Like, some people are so childish and just don't give you a chance. Luckily I'm 15 now so I'm leaving next year. Anyways, I felt I could relate to you. Thanks for posting this, btw I love your make up. Oh, and when you cried I just wanted to hug you :'] much love for Drew ^_^ <3

  • I hate high school. In the UK you start high school at age 11 and leave at age 16. When I first moved to high school I was glad for a fresh start cause I was bullied badly in primary school (that's like from age 4 to age 11 or something). So yeah I liked it at first, I have quite a few friends but I'm not popular and I don't want to be or anything like that but I feel like I've never really fit in anywhere. Like even though I have my friends who I love to bits I feel like I don't belong there...

  • @HunniiBaybiie123 awww... that's not good! I understand exactly what you mean... at least you're done soon <3

  • @thedrewlife aw, i love you :']

  • I hate it. -.-

at the beginning of my high school, I've been bullied, and now, I don't have that much friends, I only talk to one. And if she's absent for the day, I'd just be a loner because no one really talks to me. They don't hate me, but they just won't. I think maybe it's because I'm asian? coz I'm the only asian in my year.(well except for the refugees that don't know much english) So, I kinda feel left out or I just don't fit in. The worst part is its an all girls school,= NO PROM.

  • @shanelacuesta ahhh no one should be judging you because you're Asian :O I'm really sorry to hear that.... I hope that things work out and get better <3 stay strong !

  • @thedrewlife thank you so much! There's 4 more years misery for me, but I hope things get well for you aswell. You're an AWESOME person and you deserve the best! I hope you do well in college or wherever you're off to after highschool. (:

  • My high school is pretty small, I'm graduating in 5 weeks and I wish it was already over. It wasn't necessarily bad, I mean, lie I made friends in the process and stuff but I lost some good friends too to just stupid teenage drama. My school has cliques and stuff but it's basically just a massive group of all those kids that think they're better than everyone else, a group of in-between people, and then the rest of us. I was excited for it in grade 9 but now I can't wait for it to finish.

  • @cwawa34 oh noooo :( at least your done soon... that sort of dumb stuff happens in high school but I really hope that you move on to a better time in your life!! <3

  • @thedrewlife Thanks so much, I hope that you know how awesome you are and that if the people at your old high school saw you now, they'd be jealous of your awesomeness :) Your videos are the best!

  • I just finished highschool and I'm sooo happy it's over. I mean it wasn't really that bad but it wasn't the greatest either. I guess you can never have the perfect life out of the movies but you don't have to feel like you're alone. we all love you and everyone at your highschool will be so jealous when you're a star and to fancy events.

they already had their best years and yours are just starting ;) keep rockin!!!!! <3

  • @littlemusic4x thank you for letting me know that I'm not alone <3

  • I totally know where you're talking about! I basically went through years 13-18 struggling, I was home-schooled but felt exactly the way you feel, wanting things to be like in the movies or things you see in TV shows. I never had any of those experiences, I really never had any friends at all. So I can completely relate. I think the trick to getting past it to move forward and start making your life the way you want it now, and remember that everything you're not made you everything you are! :)

  • @Zitechlikeslife oh no... that sucks but I'm glad that you can relate <3 I agree... I think it's important to accept things and move forward!

  • I'm in English High School but it's only 8th grade in America but it already sucks so much :/

  • ...high school experience has been weird. I wouldn't say good or bad. I have one more year to go, so we'll see how that goes. If I don't have a date I'll be sure to invite you Drew, my wife <3 haha hope you can make it! I'm just gunna end with this: Make the best out of what you've got.

  • @NickMcKee13 aww.. you're breaking my heart here <3 STAY STRONG... you are awesome and totally deserve to be happy... I'm happy for you that you've found what you love to do! Stick with that, chase your dreams and ignore the haters... plus, if we're married then you better be taking me to prom!!

  • ...I've never had my first kiss. I probably will be going to my Prom by myself, with my best friend or not at all. Without high school there is a lot of things I wouldn't be doing now but there's also a lot of things I wish wouldn't have happened such as being bullied. It's going to happen regardless obviously but I just hate how they say it to my face. I put on a smile and I don't let it affect me but it just makes me feel like people don't want me there. I don't know, I guess my...

  • My whole high school experience hasn't really been that great, but at the same time it's been the best part of my life. Without high school I wouldn't have come into music and singing and acting. I was always happy behind the curtain where no one could see what I was doing, but now I have to be on stage with someone watching me. I was and still am bullied every day because of how I act and how I talk. A lot of people hate me but so many people like me. I've never had a girlfriend and...

  • Everything you just said in this video relates to my life.... Love it. I didn't go to prom either out of choice, but I don't regret it for one day! :)

  • Ahhh Drew<3 I love how much heart you have. My high school experience was eh I have friends and my school was so open everyone does but my Prom was no very good. Its not something I can look back at and say it was amazing err anything it was just like a gathering of the usual cliques:P Dont cry:(

  • @ChelleLovesWolves aww thank you :) i'll keep that in mind

  • your highschool experience sound kinda much like mine. Bur trust me, when you get out of highschool you will find poeple like you. I mean you are an artist, so am I. And people who are really creative and unforuantly it's moste of the time people like us who has to be alone.

But when I stared a new school and now I'm studying to be a designer, and everybody in my class is just so creative, and i really feel like one of them. It was the best change of my life ever. It will get better i promise

  • @0OoJag thanks for the encouragement... It's awesome that you found found more people like you and that you're feeling better now :D

  • OMG !! your Canadian !! how awesome !! me too :) from where ?

  • awww drew dont cry :'( <3

  • i just got back from my middle school dance and it was AMAZZING!!!!!

  • aww i love you. life is not about high school. in 10 years, if someone mentions to you how popular they were in high school, or how fun the prom was, you'd be like "ok?"

the point is, these past four years will be a distant memory once you get into college, or start your music career.

i think youre adorable and i wouldve loved to be your friend:)

  • You're not pathetic dear. You're awesome!

  • Hi Drew :) I was just like you in high school actually. A little more outgoing, but pretty much the same. I didn't go to my prom, but I did go to my graduation party; just like school, nobody knew me, I didn't know them and I left feeling like I wasted time. There is no such thing as a normal high school experience though; Glee and Prom and all those other teen movies? They're for those girls who know high school is "it" for them. High school is not "it" for you. Cheer up honey :)

  • @Testorshia ahaaa well thank you.. that makes me feel a little better !!!

  • @thedrewlife i totally agreee! your life is bigger than highschool :) you've got a great career ahead of you! ^_^

  • no one's life is like the movies. don't worry. your fans accept you for who you are (:

  • @PurplePigsGoMoo I know and I love you for it !!

  • Don't cry Drew... I think from viewing your musical and non-musical clips on youtube, that you are one a few cool and beautiful people on the inside and out...believe me it shows. I am suprised that someone has not asked you to prom yet. BTW...the word prom sounds Preppy...or is it just me.

  • @Zer0Zer0W0n awww thank you :P ahahaa yes... the word "prom" does sound kinda preppy

  • I'm graduating the 27th (: My high school experience was good (: not amazing or anything, i didnt find love like i wanted, but I did have friends and one best friend which helped. i didnt play sports, i was in chorus and drama. there was 2 short term bullies, but it only annoyed me. i was quiet in some classes and everything seemed ackward then :/ I never did drugs, never partied, and stayed close to my family and friends (: I feel I missed out on love & sports, but thts it. prom was just okay

  • @annabelleshivermusic I'm happy to hear that your highschool experience wasn't too bad <3

  • @thedrewlife you are so sweet (: thank you for sharing your feelings in the video and replying to my comment. I have no idea how people didn't see how amazing you are :)

  • i seriously feel the exact same way.

  • @itsscaitlinn aww well i'm glad that you can relate !!

  • Awh Drew, I feel your pain, I never went to prom, but that was my own choice, but now I regret it, as far as high school went, I got away with anything I wanted so it wasn't bad, but I was kinda the same way with not wanting to talk.. go us right?

  • well if we can go to virtual prom on youtube

  • i like highschool. i go to a performing arts school, and there are only 170 kids total. 25 in the graduating class. its exaclty like glee except everyone gets along.

  • High school sucked for me. I never was in the "in crowd". I really did not care what others thought and kept to myself. I was always moving from Cali to where ever and making friend was hard. I felt more at home in college and found myself in love with music production. I never looked back. Even now looking back I don't think I would change anything. I like your honest feelings I hope you can create a song about it. I know you hear that alot but it might help. Your friend Calimusicmaster
