  • bro calm it...that is talent, and he obviously has the skill(talent-as in, he has the talent or skill to do...) to draw ___, and the feeling he puts into it has probably flourished his talent/skill...yeah...so talent isn't something born...its something there that must fed and grown to a natural form soon to be called skill and skill is the same thing, you find your skill feed it and grow it and it will become a talent...i hope i make sense

  • perfect!!

  • Indeed ur gifted,nice vid.

  • Love this video and love geriatric 1927, no kidding what a sweet man!!!

  • exellent

  • whether its traced or not, he still got really good skills. His chocolate syrup work in his other channel really shows it.

  • Thats freaking awesome.

  • and check out the sequence he uses in his "how to paint Mona Lisa" he painstakingly builds up the proportions before he starts

  • i couldn't agree more somnilocus, only a savant could draw in this sequence. and why put all that effort in just to make it look exactly like a photo

  • Of course it isn't traced you incompetent fools.

  • SHOWOFF!!! haha jk your amazing :D <3

  • Wow, you're great.

  • Even if he did trace, Which he doesnt, He adds all these details that some fags who where tracing wouldn't know of.

  • 1. How do you know he doesn't trace?

    2. How would they not know of those details?

    3. I said that it takes some skill to do this and that most people couldn't, even if it IS traced, but that it lacks detail and skill, which is apparent if you do your research--you will find much more talented artists.

  • He's good, but not good enough for "best drawing ever" and "I worship thee" comments. :\ If you want to see truly amazing pencil work, search for Linda Huber or Armin Mersmann. No offense, but as an artist it is painfully clear that the initial sketch, at least, is traced. Everything is perfectly placed at random which is simply NOT how artists draw--not even the masters. Tracing is fine if you admit it and only use it as a learning tool...

  • thankyou for your words of wisdom somnilocus, i dared suggest this and have been called a retard, anyone in the design world can spot this a mile off.

  • i live in in new york city and the sidewalk portrait artists in times square do this kind of stuff all the time....in like 15 minutes. they don't trace, or make corrections.. so i think it's entirely possible that he doesn't trace.

  • Of course they don't trace--that would be impossible. Some may use projectors, though... and many use grids. And of COURSE they make corrections: you don't have to erase something to do that. Chalk artist build layer upon layer until they are satisified with their work. They change colours this way, can overlap mistakes, etc.

  • (cont.) I'm simply stating my opinion as someone who has studied art, works as an artist, and has been doing it all her life. Even sidewalk artists work from one position and build out--this guy just randomly places OUTLINES (note that he outlines everything, rather than shading, which once again suggests tracing) and objects in perfect positions. Take a look at Ghost Whisperer by Nexx here on YouTube to see how artists work... it's the best example I can find without searcher deeper.

  • Only if that was true. Everyone has their own method it doesnt mean their wrong if they out line first. I rough in the out line lightly then clean up lines and shade. Sorry we all cant be a 'real' artist like you.

  • as an artist you should know that everyone has a differnt style that works for them. there is no way that's traced

  • This is not a style, and if you were to watch anyone else work IN-PERSON from scratch, you would see that this is simply not how artists draw. How is there "no way" it's traced? Unless you've seen it for yourself in-person, it's entirely POSSIBLE it's traced. I'm not saying I KNOW it is, I'm saying that based on my knowledge and education in art, it is LIKELY.

  • you my friend, are a master.

  • i'm tellin ye!!! and he ain't denying it, perhaps i'll be proved wrong in his "how to" series but i won't hold my breath

  • this gay kid under the name cjudith465 if freakin retarded. there is no way in hell this is traced and even by some way it was, I'd bet my life you couldn't do as good.

  • traced

  • EXCELLENT work. I thought it was finished after the initial shading and blending but you took it so much further. Really good.

  • Damn, so awesome

  • WOW IT LOOKS SO REAL!! GUD STUFF!!

  • You are fuckin' brilliant!! Lovin' your work!! xx

  • fucking amazing... great work

  • you make drawing seem very easy !!!

  • i wish it was :|

then i would be drawing all day 8)

  • that was an amazing picture you really do have talent

  • Very impressive, you are very talented.

  • tracing would work, and it's drawn in the same sequence as you would trace...

  • incredible- what sort of material do you use?
