Damn...what can you say? I saw that goal live and I can't think of a better moment in sports. Non-hockey fans, you just don't know. I've got a lot of his signed stuff...sweater's, photo's, pucks, sticks, cards. A living legend.
Easily my most favorite Sakic goal of them all. I love the WTF expression Brodeur gives and how he toyed Scott Stevens. Really that entire series Sakic made a legend like Scott Stevens look like a rookie.
This goal really does epitomize why Sakic's snap was so tough- It wasn't just about the quickness- and there were arguably none quicker- but his timing was immaculate.
"Sakic fakes it...takes it..SCORES" That quote resonates even 10 years later. Even with the fans drowning out most of the noise, you can still hear the puck ding off the inner corner. Wow...Joe, you are a beat.
God I miss Sakic!

I hate to say it because he is a legend, but it pisses me off that every goal that Brodeur allows he can't believe it..

Joe Sakic is one the best hockey players of the last 25 years by far. I just bought a classic Sakic Nordiques jersey.

This is the goal I remember when watching the 2001 Stanley Cup when I was 11. Loved Roy and Sakic, and that whole team.
