Kelly Simonz plays everything with ease. His technical skills are superb and the feeling Kelly puts in his music is outstanding. Kelly Simonz is my nr. 1.

Yngwie is out of comparison to anyone for few reasons:
1. He invented this style
2. He is not a high technical band member like Romeo or Broderick or any other top shredders.. He is a musician by his own.. he writes symphonies.. he is totally different
3. His technique is not his primary power like others...
YM is the king of shred. Lots of other great players, that can play the same things just as well, but you get to be the king by doing is better first. Everyone else is is playing catch-up and copy. Not that they aren't great players. Think, EVH. Lots of guys copied the tapping and whammy thing. But EVH at his top form was and is still the standard by which alot of guitarist are measured. String skipping king Eric Johnson has set the bar for guitarist as well.

I never said they were the same. However, you really cannot say that Romeo is nothing like Malmsteen. Their structures are not mirror images or even close to it, but there are some aspects (yet not many) in which they are similar.

Malmsteen has paved the way for players like Romeo, let's not doubt that for a second. His influence cannot be questioned. But Romeo has taken it to the next level, and as a songwriter and riffmaker he pretty much wipes the floor with the competition as far as I'm concerned.

YM is the king of shred. Lots of other great players, that can play the same things just as well, but you get to be the king by doing is better first. Everyone else is is playing catch-up and copy. Not that they aren't great players. Think, EVH. Lots of guys copied the tapping and whammy thing. But EVH at his top form was and is still the standard by which alot of guitarist are measured. String skipping king Eric Johnson has set the bar for guitarist as well.

Well they are both a couple of fat fucks and they both pretty much sound the same. Obviously YJM is better because Romeo is just a clone. Also YJM has far superior tone. I thought Romeo used Line 6 Vetta heads, no wonder why his tone sucks so much..lol

I never said they were the same. However, you really cannot say that Romeo is nothing like Malmsteen. Their structures are not mirror images or even close to it, but there are some aspects (yet not many) in which they are similar.

Malmsteen has paved the way for players like Romeo, let's not doubt that for a second. His influence cannot be questioned. But Romeo has taken it to the next level, and as a songwriter and riffmaker he pretty much wipes the floor with the competition as far as I'm concerned.

Romeo. I think he (and a lot of guitar players out there for sure) owns a lot to Yngwie but Romeo is a killing riff maker, much more creative in his solos, easier to listen as he has one of the best tapping I and I guess a lot of people have seen.
