  • As my Grandfathers cousin and one of the reasons he brought his wife and infant daughter to the USA, I especially love this song

  • You tried to put us down but only made us stronger. You answer to someone now. Try to learn something that wasn't force fed to you by the queen. You sound ignorant. History has shown the the misery your people have caused. Time to understand that and stop drinking the kool aid.

  • Was Kevin Barry convicted by an Irish jury of murdering an unarmed 15 year old boy? Yes he was!! A real Irish Hero. Who remembers the name of the poor boy he shot dead? A common criminal and killer. No better and no worse than Michael Stone or any other murderer.

  • @istanbulbob you listen u english cunt, our people were mudered by yer cuntin Queen rule but 1 day we will finish it

  • @87irishlad you irish executed more of your own in the civil war, more irish were killed, and just as many atrocities committed in that civil war ,than in the war of independence , the biggest murderers of irish in the last century have been the irish themselves ,the english are easy to blame ,but irish on irish murder is conveniently put aside

  • As a child of a mother who had to escape eire pregnat and full of shame and also an english stepdad , mild and careing and from a fantastic joining please stop fighting .... i feel like stamping and irish tricoulor all over my body when i read the irish history and about " the fucking brutal brit bastards " and yes i would have been IRA too.... but my dad was good .... and as long as there is good there is hope ... some people would love to fight forever , not my mum or dad thank god ..

  • kevin barry... admiration, respect, adulation bow in the knowledge of such a man as you . Words do not speak or hear to your ackowledgement . From a drop do cause a river flow . Rest forever in peace that a tide will grow ...

    No more killing ...........

  • god bless my irish mum and my relations proud and sturdy in the tempest and with hearts of gold that will flourish .

  • Tommy, you are one of the best singers ever!

RIP brave Kevin Barry for not turning informer.

    Saoirse!

  • Excellent googling Richard, well done. But do you understand any of it?

  • @RichardElden

Dear Richard, not entirely correct I'm afraid. Google can be unreliable. The victory of the Americans, over the English, and their eventual removal from the continental USA, was achieved by the use of guerilla tactics. The Americans were the first to use what would be called today "special forces", in that they would ambush the English, and employed the first snipers, who were woodsmen and therefore excellent marksmen.

  • @RichardElden

Dear Richard, would you consider the American militia, who eventually captured the English Army at the battle of Saratoga, also, "terrorists"? Thedefinition of a terrorist act is "calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion". The volunteers in1916 did not target civilians. I'm sure you will wish to comment after googling

  • @RichardElden

Finally, Richard, may I suggest you supplement your knowledge of the history of the Republic, and the eventual success of people like Barry, by reading more widely, and coming to a balanced viewpoint. May I offer a kindly word of advice? The use of derogatory language over such a subject, simply leads readers to the conclusion that your views are those of an outdated irrelevant minority.

Maybe a visit to Ireland, where you would find a warm welcome, may enlighten you :)

  • @RichardElden

    Hello Richard

I do admire your tenacity over such a historical case. I don't have time to rehearse history at length, except to say that your original point about Kevin Barry being a terrorist, was overtaken, somewhat, by his acknowledgement as a soldier, by the Republic, in 1970s, and his interment in Glasnevin in the 00s, along with another 9 volunteers executed by the British in the early 20s, as being heroes of the War of Independence. Also, tacitly, acknowledged, by ER.

  • @RichardElden

Richard, after a 3rd refusal in the Lords, constitutionally the bill should have become law and implemented. As you know, it never was. And thus the chaos ensued...

  • @RichardElden

Richard, actually, no, it wasn't. Home Rule was due to be passed into law after being rejected in the third reading in the Lords, after being passed in Parliament three times. Carson's UVF was set up to engage in Civil War if it was introduced, but WW1 started, as you know, before things could come to a head.

If HR had been introduced, there never would have been an uprising in 1916. And as for not wearing uniforms, they were engaging in an asymmetric campaign.

  • @RichardElden

No, Richard, actually he didn't. If you'd done some research before posting factual inaccuracies, you would have known that Barry didn't kill anybody that day. He was armed with a Mauser 9mm parabellum, which jammed when he attempted to return fire. The soldiers, and I agree their death was a tragedy also, died from .45 rounds. They opened fire first, after being told to disarm and hand over their weapons. Barry was involved in similar ops where no blood was shed.

  • @RichardElden

Richard, you have a lot to learn about history, assuming that you're not just a troll. What confuses me, is someone with such strong anti Irish opinions, and limited viewpoint, would want to watch such videos in the first place??

  • @RichardElden Well done. !!!

  • @MrBORU77 Ah, we have a mick maggot! A supporter of IRA terrorists, even though they are condemned by the world including the present pope. Now you write of "bloody SUnday", which one? You micks have so many incidents of the same name, its no wonder you live your lives pemanently confused, pissed and broke.

  • @MrMickroach

    Hello Mick

From the tone of your post, I have a feeling that you may have been forced into sexual acts, by a Priest? There are many organisations offering support for Adults Abused As Children. Google NAPAC, where you will find the help, that indications are, you may be in need.

If you have a valid case, you may be entitled to compensation.

    Best wishes for your recovery

    Mick

  • @mickdel It always amazes me just how you "people" always seem to bring sex with children into any repsonse, to what must be, the painful truth. Now tell me, why do you have fantasies about paedophilia and priests? Alas, I have nothing to do with a noin Christian sect...I follow the Bible, not the Pope.

  • @MrMickroach

Dear Michael, thank you for your considered reply. I offered my comments, on a helpful basis. As a professional psychologist, and NLP practitioner, I recognised in the vitriolic language you used, that of a person who has been abused. And the priest connection, I surmised by your viewing of material on youtube, of a culture/people that you have a particular grudge against. Viewing material with which you have a visceral hatred of, is symptomatic of an abnormal personality.

  • @mickdel Oh for fucks sake, why do cretins like you claim to be something that is blatantly obvious you are not? A fucking psychologist indeed. What fantasies do you have on other videos, a surgeon perhaps, or even a fighter pilot. Get real you fuckwit and stop being a walt! The only abnormal personality is a walt like you who calims to be something that you arent. Now get real fuckwit and tell us what you have done for humanity. Soft headed moron!

  • @MrMickroach

    Dear Mick

You clearly have anger issues, which can poison your life in many areas. I would suggest contacting your GP and ask for a referral to your local Community Mental Health Team.

    kind regards

    Mick

  • @mickdel Seems like you have problems coming to terms with the fact that you "people" are clearly not as well liked as you would wish! I would suggest that you in fact, do as you would bid others to do and seek medical help, quite clearly you believe that you are something your arent. A walt, a fantasist...Brendan Behan described ypou people perfectly "Other people have nationalities, the irish have psychosis".

  • @MrMickroach

Dear Mick, thanks for the speedy reply! In fact, I am not an Irish national, but British, like your goodself. My father was a 4/7 Dragoon Guardsman, who slotted more Yemenis than he can remember, either with his sterling, rifle or Bren Gun on his Ferret Scout Car. I simply have an interest in Irish historical affairs as a member of my family is married to an Irish national, and I wished to learn about their history and culture.

    What sparks your interest?

  • @mickdel Three tours in NI, one murdered brother at the hands of the IRA, a father who was irish and who served in the RN for 18 years who hated Ireland for its perfidy in WW2, and more mick family than you could shake a stick at! As for irish history, it is a basic none event. As for your interets in child sex, where did that come from?

  • @MrMickroach

Three tours in NI? In the pay section no doubt? No unit, regiment, oh come on! And you accuse me of fabrication. I've got a month off on leave, from work. Do you spend your days after Jeremy Kyle trolling the internet on six thousand ways to display your subnormal IQ?

As a helpful aside, I would definitely suggest seeking urgent psychological help, as the tone of your language is similar to that of an abused child. Attention seeking, and histrionic.

  • @mickdel Well there you go, you asked and now you dont liken the answer. What a nasty and little man you are. I take it you have put on a uniform and stood in harms way for your country, or is it that you hang on to what your daddy did. By the way, no servicemen who ever killed in the kline of duty would brag about it, and certainly not to their children, your dad was obviously a nasty Walt, I see where you get it from. To make fun of someones loss is risible. You are just a pathetic soul

  • @MrMickroach are you serious............???????????????????? ......i have heard loads of british service men gloat about Irishmen they have killed....in fact at my brothers wedding a paratrooper was one of the waiter (i kid you not) and he asked me if I remembered 'bloody sunday and wasn't it a great day)..wanker that he was.

  • @DaoineDaoine You have heard no such thing you lying mick scumbag! And the only thing a mick would remember about any wedding is the colour of the ceiling, given that you fucks get so drunk and stupid, you send most of your time on the floor unable to get up! As for a waiter being an ex Para...more mick fantasy.do you masturbate at night witha picture of Britoih paratroopers? Is it that you want to be dominated by one? Now stop lying you mickshit!

  • @MrMickroach tut tut....with anger issues such as yours you would fit into the army quite well you ignorant twat........

  • @DaoineDaoine Obviously you wouldnt know, unless you have served

  • @MrMickroach if the irish have psychosis what the fuck are the british apart from psycotic bythe number of lands they have stolen all over the world for hundreds of years including scotland of which i am and we will get our independance from britain so god bless all irish freedom fighters and up the provos. ya dick

  • @MegaFrankiebee You are British you fuckwit, so answer your own question shitfa! And best you go and read all about the Acts of Union 1707 before you say the English stole Scotland! Pisspot was bankrupt!

  • @MegaFrankiebee all those lands we stole ? you mean the same lands youve occupied to, because everywhere we went the irish moved to to , scotland? take a look at scottish history, they were backstabbing each other centuries before we went there, who betrayed wallace, fellow scots did,the english army at culloden, were mostly lowland scots ,the clearences were done by scots as well ,scottish landowners did the 19th century clearences ,kicking scots off the land to make way for sheep

  • @MrMickroach

Hello Mick. I am starting to enjoy this :) I am on leave for a month, what's your excuse? By the way, I am not an Irish national, but as British as you lol ! My father was a 4/7th Dragoon Guardsman, who slotted more Arabs than he can remember. Oh dear........

  • @mickdel hopefully your leave will last longer than a month...twat

  • @MrBORU77 I actually watched as the great and good and not so good of the irish republic bowed and curtsied to HM the Queen, including the disgusting macaleese woman! I think the ROI could kick anyone else in the arse, it is too busy doing it to itself!

The bravest Youngfella, God bless you Kevin, never forgotten!!!!!!

  • whens yere next concert and where

  • Have you had time to digest my post about history and being ashamed. I apologise for any misunderstanding that you thought I was ashamed of Irish history. I am a Scottish Nationalist and assumed by the tone of my post and the fact I listened to such rebelious music as the Wolftones it was obvious where my loyalties lay. I'm hurt and baffled how a fan of great Irish music & Scottish Jacobite music could be so misunderstood. God Bless Scotland & Ireland.

  • It's the British history that I'm ashamed of. NOT the Irish. I'm British that's why I'm ashamed of our history.

  • Another great Wolfe Tone song.

    History makes you ashamed .

  • @effan1938
