I've Been a fan since 1987-88. My fav song is only dreaming. (sad love song) "He's Read" discribes people that think like Obama... 23 years too early...
Love RLYL.....Fucking awesome "live"...Got all the albums on CD now....the "best of" is cool too.......Check out MARCH VIOLETS......CHATSHOW and PLAY DEAD as well.....
smashed hits cost 100 quid? wot? i got mine for a fiver, wow, aint selling it though, wow, 100 quid. its good, and i love it, but 100, wow. im blessed:) if i knew how to put tracks on id just upload it, but i dont know, so i cant.
red lorry yellow lorry has (for a long time) been one of my all-time favorite goth bands, and also one of my favorite bands of any genre. They do it just as good or better than anybody else could. really wish they'd come out with a new album though.
"A lot" is quite an overstatement really, but all these bands were somewhat influenced by Joy Division, Bauhaus and Killing Joke, although these bands all had their specific own sound.
beelzabubba, said a big true. I use to have many of their vinils and a track in a famous movie would make of them very famous. recently they played in Brightown, it was a small gig noticed by my best friend. We are from the far away south america but in our comunity evebody liked them.
I'm in a Red L Yellow L resurgence in my own listening patterns... they had better get a song in a new movie soon. They are a great band and deserve to be heard by millions... a spot on a good movie soundtrack would do it... Go RLYL...!!!
This song sounds so much like Joy Division.....And by that I means its awesome - so much energy, and that bass....awesome.
I'm only 32 so wasn't really liatening to music in the 80s, but I have become addicted to the music now, and it was a great, great pleasure the first time I heard this song.
I hope the band members are still making music since they were very talented.
Talk About The Weather was an incredible album. I sat for hours in my room figuring out the guitar parts. Saw them live in Orange County circa 1986 or early 1987 at Pretty Vacant and got to go upstairs after the show and meet the band. Pretty decent guys if I remember correctly. Great show that night...
Because this group is an UFO of the 80's. They have the strange friendliness of the Psychedelic furs and the austerity of Joy division. One of an English sound.
Absolutely great song!

Recently? Is Chris playing gigs again? Last time I saw the Lorries was Spring 08, I didn't think they had been gigging since.

This is one of the best bands of the 1980s! How they seemed to stay under the skin of popularity is a mystry to me.
