So, anyone dare go to the Islamic lands to preach the gospel?
It's funny since last time Jesus was there and things went pretty well. Yet we don't dare as Christians, not without a sword like the Catholic cowards did it more than once. It's because people do not believe anymore in God as much as they believe in themselves. Others say they believe, yet doing nothing about their faith. An act of the faith is required to serve the Lord. Many are called, yet few are chosen. Change or be changed.
Amazing great men have gone before us... now the baton has been passed onto us and our turn to pass it on to the next generation. Keep the flame burning for Christ Amen.
Bleach626; You come across as a well educated, very intelligent person, even brilliant, and i fear my friend that your vice may be your virtue. I too strugle with unbelief. it seems as if the closer i get to Christ the more i struggle, but nothing is more real in this life than to hear Him speak directly to your heart, and to know his in return. I hope that you find Him one day, because togeather you and Him could do wonderful things in this short life. i wish you the best!
Missionaries, that's a good one. They only take what they can. Your heritage and your culture because they think they know what is best. Feed the world but not at the expense of religion.
Oh-and thanks for posting this vid. Hearing these quotes really takes your eyes off the temporary things of this life ya know? As James says, "Our life is but a vapour" Man, I wan't to use the time I've got to do all I can, and be all that God wants me to be.
I would like to thankyou so much for this video, you know as i think of my own selfish lifestyle-and how much am actually giving to GOD i have to bow my head in shame! Oh that we as CHRIST church would get a vision of lost souls who are perishing without Jesus and seek to give our lives as a living sacrifice to lead people to HIS CROSS of shame that they may have forgiveness and eternal life through HIM by faith alone.Iam so humbled by the commands of Christ.... FATHER fill us with thy Spirit X
I'm expressing why I don't believe there's such a thing. My comment wasn't to stop you, just let you know my opinions on such things.
These days, to state any idea can be interpreted as intolerance. Notice that I stated that it was my opinion, nothing more. You stated yourself that my ideas were interesting, that's all I came to express.
I found your video because it was the top 'related video' of one that I was watching.
No harm done. I appreciate your opinion, you just opened your comments in such a way that it could put others on the defensive. Notice that you said, "Because you can't know what happens, going around preaching about it is, ostensibly, lying." I am always willing to hear someone's views and opinions but to call someone else's views "lies" because they don't align with yours is troubling.
But there is no offensive felt here and I pray none on your end as well. Again, I appreciate your comments and opinions and welcome any questions that you might have.
It's impossible to know what happens after death. That's what religions are all about, everything else just justifies their position on post death existence. Because you can't know what happens, going around preaching about it is, ostensibly, lying.
Bleach626, you raise some interesting ideas, but why are you posting comments on an obviously Christian video that only has had around 725 views? This video does not seek to debate anyone, it simply is relaying quotes from real people in the past that gave their lives to preach the gospel. It gives words to their passion. It is not an attack or even a tool of conversion, so why these posts?
When people preach gospel, they can be corrupting people's world views. To have a belief that states that everyone else must share it is, in my opinion, dangerous. It leads to extremism and intolerance. Many eccentric evangelicals use hate speeches to get their audience to feel connected to them.
I understand that many of the people, in particular, many of those who you are quoting, aren't being malevolent or selfish- in some cases, quite the opposite. But their spreading of their faith and promotion of a faith sustained reality leads to the more dangerous kind.
The above is simply my opinion, I welcome any corrections, as long as it's not as silly as some that I've seen.
I agree with you that extremism and intolerance is dangerous, but so is censorship of someone's personal beliefs. No one is telling anyone what to believe here, there is a difference between witnessing and proselytizing. One shares my belief with others in honesty and the other demands their allegiance.
I am wary of anyone who is preaches tolerance and then is intolerant of anyone's proclamation of their belief. There is danger there as well, we must find a balance if there is to be any understanding at all.
Can god? Your questions are irrelevant. god is an ambiguous label. People become, through consensus realities, preaching, and fear, conditioned to believing that god can communicate with them. The tooth fairy, in the minds of small children who do not know any better, is very real.
To paraphrase a famous quote, reality consists of that which, when you stop believing in it (really stop believing in it, not just saying so) it doesn't go away.
it all comes down to this;if you have told one lie, your a liar. if you have stolen even once, your a theif. if you have looked with lust, you have commited adultery in your heart and you have to face GOD on judgment day! revelation ch.21v8-says ALL liars will have their part in the lake of fire. the bible says;no theif or adulterer will inherit GODs kingdom. unless you repent and trust in JESUS CHRIST,you will have to suffer the consequences of your sins yourself!

it is so sad that you truly think god and religion is any more true and relevant to reality than the tooth fairy
