  • beautiful, i want this to play at my funeral one day (: i believe the happiest day of my life is when i die. I'm not emo i just feel like that would make me happy, not to see others sad, just to be noticed, to maybe have left a lesson behind (:

  • This would be much better without all the religious people spoiling it. That said, great tune. Bluesy and has heart, I approve.

  • Ah, very good!

    :)

  • Ahh ha What a nice twist on this one. IN my little world I've never connected a gospel with some jazz and I luv it ! Im calling in the Shiloh Baptists players and a few great Pittsburg jazzers I heard this week and get a conference going on this one....ahhh ha....much enjoyed Doug !

  • Great song and really good improvisation!

  • It's outstanding in how you hi light sections and give an analysis. Excellent work.

  • really nice. ty=]

  • I love this!

I especially love the progression throughout the performance, from the fairly straight Hymn-like block chords towards the start, which then loosens up, and of couse the much freer style of playing in the trio. I can almost hear a Hammond B3 in the background ;)

On another note, I thought the seamless way you brought the rest of the trio in half way through was your best to date. Fantastic, loved it!

  • Note to all ... Buy Dave's CD

    I did and I'm glad I did.

    You won't be disappointed.
