beautiful, i want this to play at my funeral one day (: i believe the happiest day of my life is when i die. I'm not emo i just feel like that would make me happy, not to see others sad, just to be noticed, to maybe have left a lesson behind (:
Thank you so much for sharing this song in such a way.
This is total truth, I can not read sheet music well but want to play a song for my sister and fiance to dance to at their wedding. i think this is it, and i owe it to you cause now i can learn it. THANK YOU!
Ahh ha What a nice twist on this one. IN my little world I've never connected a gospel with some jazz and I luv it ! Im calling in the Shiloh Baptists players and a few great Pittsburg jazzers I heard this week and get a conference going on this one....ahhh ha....much enjoyed Doug !
I especially love the progression throughout the performance, from the fairly straight Hymn-like block chords towards the start, which then loosens up, and of couse the much freer style of playing in the trio. I can almost hear a Hammond B3 in the background ;)
On another note, I thought the seamless way you brought the rest of the trio in half way through was your best to date. Fantastic, loved it!
"Everybody lies" GAHH! I love that fucking doctor!

This would be much better without all the religious people spoiling it. That said, great tune. Bluesy and has heart, I approve.
