I had the same type of dog and she was one of the smartest dogs I have ever known. Shame she passed away last year. She knew everything by name. Best dogs to have she is very missed.... R.I.P Wendy xoxo

LeonObsessed - The solution isn't to make yourself afraid of stupid people though. You need to find human friends who can understand you and love you for who you are as a person and you need to push yourself to get out of your shell.

people talk to god. it's the same thing in a sense. they believe he talks back. that he's listening. animals you can actually SEE that they care.

God vs. animals. Hmmm kinda different. ;) Dogs (not animals, only like dogs and maybe horses or something) can understand your emotions. They can't understand what you are saying though. They don't know what you are trying to articulate when you talk to them. And they can't talk back to you in their mind.

Sorry. I only wanted to point out that gin can definitely understand her. and she always has her parents to fall back on. I don't really see how it's unhealthy to have a dog as your only friend. I mean she has her parents for human contact at least.

besides, I'm the kind of person who has to take time away from myself to spend time with my friends(that's what friends do). so I have very few for that reason. maybe she is like me. it just bugs me when people say they can't understand you.

Hey it's ok! It depends on how you define understand though. I have known people who believe they are having conversations with their pets in their heads. That's the kind of "My dog understands me" that I frown at I guess. To me it means they needs more contact with people lol! But if you mean that a dog knows your feelings and therefore is capable of comforting you by being with you...I agree. Once when I was crying when I was little my dog slept in my room that night :)I can testify 2 that
