of course this version of the song vastly differs in lyrics then what is present on the album, more then likely because the actual lyrics do renounce "a guarantee" in any form of a deity. if anything this version is watered down in order to reduce controversy in the music festival.

Once again you misinterpreted his meaning. Knowing most musicians work in 4 bar phrases, the entire phrase is actually "I've learned from casualty, Don't have faith in anything, Give it up, give it up". With this line included that you left out, it should be interpreted as something along the lines of because he's lost love/people/something of value, that faith in those objects should not be invested in. You should try to understand the lyrics rather than fit them under some blanket category

It'll lay to rest whatever questions you have concerning the subject matter of this song. There is also a "stamp of origin" on the album cover that has the words "seven billionth" in relation to this as well.
