  • looks like a hung drum. Is there a difference?

  • you have to be kidding me, there's a huge difference. A hang drum is much higher quality and total different tone.

  • I have one of these on order - how have you miked it ?

  • i believe that they are now available with a quarter-inch plug jack.

  • A great instrument! Check out some related instruments at my channel: tonginstruments

  • WOW! Will save up to get one!! Excellent!

  • What a sweet instrument !

    Thank for your music

    Peace

    Charlie

  • Great video as always!

I'd love to see a video of you playing a wooden tongue drum.

  • Which scale are you using in the video?

    Thank you,

    Kurt

  • It's F major pentatonic scale on this video. We have other scales too, like akebono, hitzaz, etc. Please take a look to our website.

  • thats a hang drum ?

  • no, it isn't. It's tongue drum, althrough the technique of playing is similar

  • @nadishana Technically it's a hybrid. Steel tongue drums usually have a big reverberation hole on the top. Which I'm guessing it's on the bottom. Exactly like a hang drum. And the low note at the center top also comes from hang drum. My only question. Can you get one that's tuned to the Solfeggio scale? That's all I want. All the other scales can go away.

  • the hang is its mother, thus is what came out of not affording the hang, but still wanting the sweet angelic sounds :)

    nice playing btw!
