Jason X was loads of fun. It was a long dead franchise (and genre for that matter) and was pretty awesome. It was old school without being too nostalgic. Self conscious without being too much of a silly parody. The robot girl was pretty annoying but otherwise it's hard to imagine it being better than it was.

Honestly the franchise had never been really good since the 6th film. But i will admit, taking it for what it is, this movie rocked! It was pretty funny. And come on, Jason IN SPACE!!!! I think more Horror movie icons should be set in space. Kane Hodder= Best Jason ever. I think it was satirizing how bad the series had been so far. Oh and chronologically this movie happens last in the franchise, after FvJ and the comics. I will not rage at people who like it, cause honestly i understand.

Seriously, what would get in the way of a Freddy/Jason movie now? Jason has been owned by New LIne CInema since part 8, Jason Takes Manhattan and maybe there was an issue then but i don't see where the issue was durring after Jason Goes TO Hell where the fans were hinted of a Freddy/Jason movie. But then i watched some movise on SciFI and Holloween H20 on FX, which is kind of an odd title i was expecting it to take place on a cruise ship. Part 7 kinda looks good but it was just an excuse for not doing Freddy vs. Jason, because Jason was still part of Paramount and Freddy was New LIne Cinema. But i dont understand the New York thing. WHat was stopping them then?
