  • I simply love her.

  • Great song.

  • What a great song as only Connie can sing it.

  • The inflections and modulations of her voice mark her out as really special.

    Just off to listen again!

  • Can't stop playing this. Thanks for the upload Donnyvango.

  • She's so good.

  • So sweet performance....thank you very much.I dedicate it to my late Dad. Regards, Sergio.

  • when country was country a wonderful music back then

  • This song was also done by both The Ray Conniff AND The Johnny Mann singers. But which of these three versions came first?

  • @cmulwee001 It was also performed by Sonny James, and I think he was the first.

  • One of my all time favorite sad songs by one of my all time favorite country ladies!! Saw Connie in Kansas City, Mo., many years back now. She's an awesome lady and her voice is timeless!!! Love it!

  • Love this song. I've been looking for this song byh Ray conniff and his singsrs to no avail. Great S0ng.

    Thank You.

  • Connie is my second favorite country singer, although Dolly ( who is my first ) had said once that: "the real women country singers are Linda Ronstadt, Connie Smith and Barbara Streizand and the rest of us are all pretending..."

  • Lovely rendion by a female vocalist!

I like the way she ephasizes the words.

  • Though I find Connies voice a bit too soft, her emotional voice matches well with the song. Alors je dirais bravo a Connie, toujours grande inspiration pour ceux qui aiment le country.

  • ive got this song on a 7" by ned miller and the b side is old restless ocean another great song...

  • oooooh my, New to me, soo nice version Thanks posting/Carl

  • I'll ask again. Is there anyone in country music that has been as drop-dead gorgeous for over 45 years (!) as CONNIE?

  • @joepilot48 i dont think so

  • A great song for true lovers

  • I've not heard this song from Connie before this, but she does a very nice job with it. This song will likely not become a favorite but I'll still enjoy her voice

  • this is a two sided comment isent it??, you can have as many Favorite's as you like , so your second part of your comment through me off, not that it matter,,, Mac

  • never heard this lady before, she is very good

  • This is a new song for me From Miss Connie Smith. Does she sing a bad song? I think not. A class act all the way. Like fine wine, she gets better with age. I would drink her bath water!!

  • Seattle is on the 'related videos' list. Have a click

  • I think one of the greatest female voices of all time in country music--much like that of Karen Carpenter--effortless and smooth.

  • Great video of Connie and a great song.

  • Not only beauty she has the talent.Love this song.

  • Yes, Connie Smith is something special! After hearing this song, I just had to get the album in which it appeared. I found it on eBay.

  • cagle123 hard to keep my mind on the great singing while looking at such a beautiful lady thanks for the viedo.

  • There was nothing Connie Smith could not sing and improve on. I love Martina McBride, Faith Hill, etc. But I can not see anyone ever topping Connie Smith. She just had something special.

  • Someone please post, " Where is my Castle ? " and " Seattle ". Thanks most kindly.

  • I have posted a video of Connie Smith singing "Seattle". I hope you like it!

    Donny

  • I love this Song, Thanks for placing this Terrific song on here.

  • yeah great to stumble on this not to mention so many other artists. Its not living under a rock like mac says- so much as having to go back and check all the great talent missed in a river of music history. So many singers, so little you tube time....

  • wow who is this woman ? I've not heard of her before, she is great!!!

  • have you lived under a rock, lol, go see her if you get a chance, you wont regret it for one moment,THE QUEEN OF COUNTRY MUSIC

  • When Marty Stuart first saw Connie Smith, he said one day that he was going to marry her, and eventually he did.

  • Wow! I'm a huge Connie Smith fan..but never heard her sing this one. THANKS for posting; very moving number - ESPECIALLY with timeline photo show. Nice done - very.

  • i get chills , when i hear Connie Smiths voice, such a happy voice to put in to one's ear

  • The Ray Conniff Singers later covered that song too.

  • Marty Stuart is a very fortunate man. I've loved Connie for years myself.

  • everytime i hear her sing memories come back.

  • Now I can see why Marty Stuart had a crush on her since he was 12.
