Again when dealing with extremes of either power or speed DO NOT go toe to toe. Keep your timing sharp, and throw their timing off, extremes of power or speed can only be negated by timing, and good timing, can even give you a degree of anticipationg.

One more time; DO NOT go toe to toe with Fei Long, you are guaranteed to lose if you do.

boxing 101, it may have to do with the sport, but it can apply to video games;

where there are extremes of either power, or speed, going toe to toe is a VERY bad idea.

do not, I repeat, do not go toe to toe with either Fei Long, or Zangief, as they represent the two extremes, Fei Long being speed, and Zangief, obviously power.

There really isn't a strategy in Street Fighter either; it all boils down to reflexes blended with timing.

@fearandloathinginNY what? the cpu is rarely random, it does the same thing constantly, a actual oppenent you don't know there skill level until you play them. The cpu is very perdictable. You can go read a stradegy guide to beat the cpu, but not a real person unless you played them before

additionally, keep him constantly pinned with rapid fire fire balls, just keep on firing them like your life depends on it. If he jumps over them, or does the rekka ken, tag him with a dragon.

again though against Fei Long, if you are using Ryu, your timing has to be flawless.

this comment is a year late, but, when playing Ryu against Fei Long, if you try to go toe to toe with Fei Long you will always lose. His hand speed is too fast, its hopeless; the key is to stay mid range, stay focused, never let your timing get thrown off, and constantly sho ryu ken his rekka kens, if you time the dragon punch just right, you can neutralize fei long's rekka ken.

Fei Long is a real good Character he´s extremly fast

And when he hit you with Rekkaken 3 Times it does nice damage

I also think that his "Fire Leg" Special is better than Ryus Shoryuken

I hate to have him as my opponent the only characters i stand a chance against him are: Sakura, Ryu, Sagat, Cammy

GG. But shoryuken is not always the best move aganist Fei Long. Fei Long is a counter hit charater. And when you shoryuken you are wide open.
