  • It hard to believe its been 40 years plus now! Here's to another 40 plus years! And a great big THANK YOU goes to man who started it all-the late Gene Roddenberry for his vision and creativity. Then to all the casts and crews that put all of it together. And to the fellow fans that have helped keep the vision alive over the years!

  • Its too bad they never used the shuttle enterprise I would have been a much more avid follower of NASA if they did!

  • Gene would've loved this video. Nice tribute!

  • Thank you for NOT including any of that crap that JJAbrams tried to pass off as Star Trek back a couple of years ago.

That movie has no place in Star Trek continuity.

  • @Actionguy1 - That's why it's considered an alternate timeline.

  • u must not like voyager 6secs but nice on the long ds9 its my fav

  • Only Veteran Admiral Jean-Luc Picard should be brought back in time to help out young Captain James T. Kirk and Starfleet deal with the Threats of Deep Space that the New Ships will meet ahead of Schedule with the Faster Future Technology from the 24th Century.

  • I wish I was growing up while this was more popular. Everyone at school makes fun of me for liking Star Trek. This generation has no taste in films and T.V. shows.

  • 45 now.

  • Very nicely done. Love it

  • "Hears to ya fellas."

  • With all our hearts lodged firmly in Star Trek, the end of the Space Shuttle makes me ask, as all the world is asking,"What's Next?"

Our greatest times are tied to reaching for the stars, and the Earth benefits when we do make ourselves reach. But what do we have? Where can our dreaming Star Fleet Cadets and Jedi have? A long wait it seems, with no promise of things to come.

  • very cool, though i would have mentioned Jeffery Combs in with the DS9 cast, as much as he was a part of enterprise. His trek identity is more so grounded in the multiple recurring characters he played on DS9.

Having said that i do have to say one of the great travistys of enterprise being that they planned on making Combs a regular in Season 5.

and that such a talented actor never got his chance to shine as a regular on a series that he brought so much to

  • wel done mate. its amazing how statrek has shaped the life,s of so many people including mine. Gene roddenberry thank you much for wunderful work.

  • "Very excellent job!"

  • /watch?v=80_HKdvNhgA is a mch better tribute video, it really stirs the emotions.

  • The Star Trek adventures are Not Complete without the Tale of The Next Generation which had the Difficult task of Re-Establishing the Trek Universe as a Weekly Story telling entity . It was Cast Differently and was more of an Ensemble Piece than it's Predecessor. The Lead of the Larger Next Generation Cast of Characters was Veteran Commander, Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Picard had to Rely more on Diplomacy and Experience than the Earlier Captain before him. Picard was the Next Generation.

  • Bringing William Shatner back into Star Trek again after all these years gone By and letting him walk on the New Enterprise or even onto one of the Original 1960s Starships would be Like Seeing James Mason walking the Decks of the Nautilus again from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

It can happen and it would be Good Box Office for a new Star Trek Film. and of course Shatner at age 80 looks like he is only 65.

  • I WANT MY STAR TREK BACK!!!

  • you should of had capt. pike in there too....

  • Great!! What is the music??

  • @balint127, music is here by youtube:

    Search:

Title 1: Immediate Music - Birth of a Nation

Title 2: Immediate Music - Salute to Victory

  • Great video! Wonderful work! The CGI models look a little flat but it doesn't effect the positive reception of it as a whole.

  • America's Doctor Who! Wish it was running still after Star Trek TNG though. Thumbs up if you agree

  • America's Doctor Who! Wish it was running still after Star Trek TNG though.

  • excellent. what music did you use?

  • Star Trek, for all it's philosophical corruption, expressed Western Civilization's driving spirit of exploration, independent initiative, and willing self-sacrifice for the common good. These qualities inspire the human spirit to dream and to make those dreams into reality--"to boldly go where no man has gone before".

  • Teehee, Whoopi fail.

  • Loved the Video, But makes you think what happened to the Spirit of Exploration, and not just American exporation, We as humans should see the Earth as it is A small unimportant planet in an unimportant part of the galaxy. We should and must go into the great darkness we call space. Th take the theme of Star Trek, " To boldy go where no Man has gone before, working together as one species instead of killing off the species

  • @056716 Yeah, but that's just a dream for now... Even in the quite optimistic star trek universe, we had a 3rd World War, and as i recall the situation when the vulcans made first contact wasn't very good.

And unfortunately, there are a lot of people on this unimportant little planet, who just want more and more of it, and until humanity doesn't learn from its mistakes, we won't be able to reach warp 1...

    Sorry for my english...:)

  • OMG that was really really Great gave me chills. very good

  • i loved voyager the most

  • Great vid - especially the Enterprise-E montage at the end.

  • Isn't it suppose to be....."to boldy go where NO one has gone before......?"

  • @Ashenion22 That's the Politically correct version.

  • I love the Sovereign at the end. I wish there was more like that

  • no doubt there was a lot of passion behind this--- however it was completely disjointed and all over the place.

  • Well folks the United States of America this is the closest any of us will get to live and work in space. With the Obama, Pelosi, Franks, types in control there will be no "Voyages of a spacecraft called ENTERPRISE" or any Ameican Built Manned Space Vehicles to "Boldy Go" because the Socialists along with the Religious Right Wing (think Muslim Terrorists) and Christian Wing Nuts are stopping all AmerIcan manned ventures into space, stopped.

  • To bad Obama killed Nasa

  • STAR TREK.. what is and what shall be!

  • Great video. One small thing the opening sequence with the Space Shuttle Enterprise, It never flew in space it was a test vehichle for the glider portion of the shuttle's return back from space It launched from high altitudes from a mother plane. Just thought I'd share that tid bit.

  • Shivers and chills....congrats on a very fine production......

  • Never really dawned on me, on how creative both yourself and many other fans are in, any corner of the world, have proved that one man can make a difference. And that man, Eugene Wesley Roddenberry sure did, he taught co-existance, is the human condition of surviving not just one day at a time, but one lifetime in a day!

  • Why is it showing the TOS cast and crew names what about the TNG, DS9 and VOY?

  • The Space Shuttle Generation 2 should be on the Drawing Boards by Now.

  • Excellent video! Bravo!

  • Thumbs up! Great montage for Star Trek on the actors and vessels.

  • The future is waiting for us to choose it. Nothing is written down. Choose wisely and choose well.

  • The future is waiting for us to choose it. Nothing is

  • Very beautiful and impressive, well done :D

  • This video is full of fail. Not only did you spell many of the actors' name incorrectly, your CGI ships look way to compact and flattened. Re-do!

  • We would love to see the VSS Enterprise but I think you need a copyright from Sir Richard Branson.

  • if you liked this check out STAR TREK 40th Anniversary Tribute 1966 - 2006 no offense but it is done much better!

  • when are you people going to get it ..you guys have more then 13 movies at least 4 sitcoms ....but still can not get an academy award like star wars

  • @mendezfocus I suggest that you educate yourself about Star Trek before you try to demean the franchise and it's fans. Your comment only establishes true ignorance.

  • @mendezfocus Do they not translate Star Trek in the country you're from? The 11th movie came out just a year ago (not 13). There are no sitcoms. There are 5 shows called post-operatic television series' or dramas if you will as well as an animated series. In total 736 (+or-1) tv/movie installments. All that info was available on google.

What are we supposed to be getting? Rollerskates? For Christmas?

  • @mendezfocus Star Trek's main focus, the 1 hour tv slot, is written in post-operatic drama. Star War's main focus, big screen movie trilogies, is written as operatic fantasy. Other than the fact that both include some story set pieces such as spaceships and aliens. The two series are written different, for different purposes, with different goals and should not be catagorized together. That would be superficial. And I won't. I enjoy both franchises.

  • wow

  • Wonderful video. I am a big Star Wars fan, but I will say it does not compete with love for Star Trek. I wish more people would be willing to experience the journey of Star Trek. The franshise is so deep, political, romantic, and adventurous. I enjoyed the latest Star Trek movie. It helped gain new fans, satisfy most long time fans, and to a certain degree save the Star Trek movie franchise. Star Trek is simply the best.

  • Nicely done! I've been following ST since it first aired.

  • u should have the names of charactors with each star trek series, not as u had then??

  • Shatner dedication in great new bio (All About jeffrey Hunter) at Kindle! Book just $1.09!

  • Very nicely done. Thank you for posting this.

  • Great new book at amazon has Shatner dedication! Book is called "Did these stories really happen?"!

  • I enjoyed the original series, The Next Generation and all their movies, did not like Deep Space 9 or Voyager, I miss watching them. Nemesis was cool but I didn't expect Data to rise and show his humanity by sacrificing hisself, but that was the best way to go. The latest Star Trek movie just eliminated the entire series with the Romulan demise, the entire TNG would require a rewrite now.

  • i found the first song, "birth of a nation" by immediate music but the second song eludes me. anyone know what it is?

  • @stormtroopernoob

The second song is called "Salute To Victory". :)

  • lov

  • Great Video! you only forgot to include the name of Rosalin Chao (Keiko O'Brian, NG and DS9)

  • I still dont get why this video only has a rating of 4.5

  • ok, let's get one thing cleared up, first off, the black hole did not appear randomly, it was the direct result of Ambassador Spock's weapon in the future to dispell the expanding supernova. 2, as for the "rebooting" of star Trek, let's face it, nothing ever copmpared to Kirk/Spock in any of the incarnations that followed the original, so why not find a way to go back to them?

  • If you are confused as to why everything so conveniently changed in the universe after one simple random act of violence, read "Final Frontier" great book which tells the story of George, and why even the original Enterprise wouldn't exist without him. He may have never been a captain in the original timeline, but his existence greatly affected everything. No George when James was 11ish, Enterprise would have been a cloud of vapor on her first secretive (and nearly catastrophic) mission.

  • Explain this; why is the crew of the Kelvin wearing Enterprise deltas on their uniforms? How is it that the Kelvin has 800 people onboard? Not to mention 35 shuttlecraft.....How did the crew of the Kelvin know that the Narada was Romulan, since it is established in "Balance Of Terror" that Romulans had never been seen before. Where are captains Garth, Tracy and April (to name a few)? Were they all not a part of Starfleet BEFORE the random act of violence?

  • Think of this possibility...What if the events of the earth-romulan war went differently. What if as a result of that, Starfleet started to focus more on larger more powerful ships with a more military mindset. The other possibility is that fact that out of this altered conflict the origins of the Romulans as well as knowledge of their physcial appearance. It's not a perfect explanation, but it will help to explain alot of differences. After all a hinge pin of the mirror-verse is that war.

  • It seems that my response did not post, so I will do so again. Although I like that you are using your imagination to explain certain events, what you are proposing is contradictory to canon and therefore not plausible. Also, the Earth-Romulan war had nothing at all to do with Star Trek 09. And it is NOT a mirror universe, it is an alternate timeline.

  • and therefore, no Captain Pike being in command of a constitutuion class starship for 11 years, with Spock at his side. instead, both taught at the academy, Uhura falls for spock and avoids being posted first to Farragaut.... all excellent books to be read, spend some time doing that instead of missing key points in a movie so poorly

  • Great job!!!!

  • what songs are these?

  • ehmtag und nacht träume ich davon dass sich jemnd findet der mich vor meiner langweile erlöst^^

  • Star Trek rocks! i miss it :(

  • very good work, it made me think how much I miss the world of Star Trek. The new one is ok but does not compare to what Gene created.

  • star trek is far the best tv show ever..its the most sophisticated show iv ever seen..writters and directors didnt make it on ther mind only.the spoke with sientists form space programs so watever thay say in the show to be based in real space reaserches even if those dont exist yet..im fun of TNG...ST rules :)

  • spaceshuttle enterprise never weny into space

  • Nicely done. Love the music and your 3D modeling. GREAT tribute, and VERY glad you left out the new abortion they call the "reboot movie."

  • @rspprodinc agreed, they messed up on so many things with that movie, starting with black holes that randomly appear in different places and so on.

  • amazing video.

  • Its high time there was a new series! in the nineties there were a load of great series! the question is, when and where would it be set?

  • Dude.... I honestly don't know what to say about this vid you made, except that I'm totally impressed..... keep 'em coming !

  • You did a fantastic job! Any fan of Star Trek will agree!

  • Startrek isn't the real world, with rational people, to point at least.

The real world makes little sense, imagination is only a dream.

  • Some day we will achieve this kind of goal but I think there's something missing there are two starship missing yes the USS Enterprise B and C.

  • @SR71ABCD

The unfortunate truth is, that this won't happen. The world's resources are running out, and everyone still uses crude oil.

Startrek is only a dream and a fantasy. I used to watch the ENT series back.

  • sorry, bt did you use some own cgi models? some parts look very different (e.g. imulse engines of voyager, or size of special sections like the enterprise d saucer and stardrive seemed different.) but indeed its very impressive!

  • I didn´t use own cgi models, the animation scenes were all made by "The Light Works" some years ago.

  • @fresh1306 still they are sometimes a bit wrong (nothing really bad, its all right, it just looks false if you see it)

  • I think Star Trek has so much more depth than Star Wars. Although I'm a fan of both.

  • no question Star Wars has no depth at all for that matter it's purely for entertainment and it was supposed to be just that while Roddenberry wanted Star Trek to actually change minds in the 60s about stuff like racism sexism war the only thing why they are compared to each other is the word Star in their title

  • Star Trek is the shiznit. 11 movies, 22 cartoons, and 704 tv episodes not to mention other media. VS Star Wars (all be it good, but only) 6 feature films, an animated movie, and a couple of seasons of cartoons. Not bad but definitely not STAR TREK!

  • star trek and star wars are great and i am fan for both but the great difference is that star trek has series and star wars not...

  • More than that: "Star Trek" is owned by CBS while "Star Wars" is owned by Lucasfilm. I was once a Trekkie and a Warsie.

  • Warsie ? I take offense at that :P

  • No offense, Trekkies. Please forgive me!

  • warsie XD

  • the new movie destroyed trek as we know it :( i hate time paradox like that, its just sloppy story writing, and seems like the writers ran out of ideas for new stuff

  • unfortunately for most fans, jjabrams did his homework for what would be appropriate technology workings with nasa scientists. So basically, all he did was correct some elements from the '60s show and found a way to say: NX01 is official, but in no way is it cooler then the original NCC

  • 43 years of Trek! all hail Star Trek!

    Great vid!

  • Did anyone notice that the Enterprise Ds neck was too short, apart from the odd dimensions mistake this is a good video!!

  • very accurate models, did you do those yourself?

  • no, "The Light Works" made them a few years ago for a star trek-convention

  • cool, i've seen some of the light works' videos, they are really good lol

  • Do you mean shuttle "craft" funrizwan

  • lol yes it would be funny if i thought that is what it was called (i know)

  • the enterprise cant actually land, it had no landing gear only the shuttle raft can do that.

  • yes it can. But it kinda hovers. And the saucer section of the original Enterprise can land too, it has 3 legs to land on. Once it was disconnected, it could not reconnect. They never used it in the TV series. So could the Enterprise D and its saucer section. But unlike the original, the saucer can reconnect.

  • well how was i to know that, and how do you know that? and also remember generations it had to crash (idk)

  • you can buy the technical manuals. they were made in the late 90s when TNG was at the height of its popularity. It was also mentioned in the Star Trek Encyclopedia, which was published around the same time.

  • The reason the saucer crashed was because it was pushed by the shockwave of the explosion from the body section when it exploded, They fell into the atmosphere instead of having a controlled landing.

  • the oiginal and next genartions were the best! and had the best ships.

  • First music title: Immediate Music - Birth Of A Nation (search here by youtube)

Second music title: Immediate Music - Salute To Victory (search here by youtube)

  • Most entertaining - an updated version would be nice with the new cast list and Enterprise.

  • I am still trying to find this music. I really want to purchase it. Any ideas?

  • free youtube to mp3 converter

  • Umm no.. I support my artists. Next!

  • might be in trouble then... the first track is Immediate Music. that I know... not sure bout the other...

  • Great video, enjoyed every second. Great work to whoever did this. Ignore all the wannabie CGI experts :)

  • Star Trek is 43 years!!! The legacy will always live forever around the country, around the world, and around the galaxy!

  • That's down to the aspect ratio. It needs to be ammended. That said, the ship models all have various small innacuracies, in particular, the Defiant model is just plain ugly.

As one would expect from The Light Works, the animation, compositing and lighting is superb, though there's something not quite right in the approach of the NX inspection pod.

Overall, great video, kept from greatness by my nitpickety eye spotting all the innacuracies on the ships.

  • Ooh! paraphrasing Scotty, there! No, seriously, though you must admit, the D was a bonny ship, though? That and the detachable saucer section.

  • always wanted to know what's the name of the second music, or where is it from....?

  • Pitty that we still stay on this planet. It is so much to explore ...

But that time will come. And is closer and closer :) ...

  • A great tribute to a great show. Keep watching.

  • Some day humanity will most likely launch a real interstellar exploration 'starship'. And when they do, they damn well better name it Enterprise.

  • Wow!!!! Only minor points are you misspelled Whoopi Goldberg's name and I don't think I saw Diana Muldaur in the TNG credits. Beyond that, simply spectacular!!!!

  • Amazing Video! God, I miss these shows, they need to start a new seires.

  • awesome tribute. music anyone?

  • thats why i love you americans... your best invention (besides bic mac)... star trek :)

  • Great Star Trek. That is the real Star Trek from Gene.

  • i love star trek

  • OV-101 (enterprise) never flew into space(although it was proposed it be outfitted to do so after Challenger)Enterprise was designed to test the orbiter's aerodynamics after reentry. OV-101 currently resides in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, unlike the three oporational orbiters, OV-103, OV-104, and OV-105(Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour respectivly)

  • The name is also applyed to the cargo bay doors, not under the cockpit like in operational orbiters

  • Lovely, lovely video. Does anyone know the opening music? I really love it. Fits Star Trek perfectly.

  • God, it feels like it all started yesterday!

  • dot like it

  • Very nice video tribute to the numerous "Star Trek" series shows!

  • sweeeet

  • Cool

  • Excelent tribute.

  • This is beautifully done video, it just apitimises everything thats makes star trek so great, well done

  • Great video! The Voyager and the Sovereign class ships are so beautiful!!!

  • Great work. Did you do those cg ships yourself or did you get them elsewhere?

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH NightwishRaven999 just got SERVED! lol

  • hum...no, not really ;)

  • I'm just messing, hehe. I just found this convo funny, lmao.

  • Enterprise-E, she is so beautful.

  • beautifull, congrats.

  • I want to say

    人類的冒險精神去哪了?

    現在地球是什麼樣子?

  • I love this video. The music, the editing, the ships. Simply amazing.

  • What's Starfleets best ship, Enterprise-E, Voyager or the Defiant

  • Best as far as? Most advanced? Personal favorite?

  • The Enterprise-E of course.

Voyager is a very normal federation starship. It is no different from all the other intrepid class ships.

The defiant is good but it is an escort ship and isnt as capable as the bigger starships.

The Enterprise-E isnt better than any other Sovereign class ship, but only the best officers serve on the enterprise...so I would think the Enterprise to be the best ; )

  • actully the difiant is a battleship sisko even says so when they introduce it, it was ment to fight agienst the borg but was scraped cuz of function problems, but sisko brought the contruction back so they could seek out the founders.

  • I know, but the defiant is only good for battle. Later, when they are more commonly used, defiants are used to escort other ships.

They are usually teamed in pairs with along with a bigger starship.

example: 2 Defiants with one Akira

or 2 Defiants with an Excelsior

  • huh are we talking about the same ship here?, there has only ever been 3 ships in the defiant class, the red squad one, and the uss defiant and the refit. there are only a few episodes where the defiant works with other ships, apart from the actual war battles, the offical reason for t he ship is excort (there is only one or two episodes where u actully see the ship excort others) however unoffically it's breed for one perporse to fight.
