  • Yoko made him the man he was - fact! If the Beatles continued they'd have been like Coldplay, pointless.

  • This is my favorite Yoko song. No, Yoko didn't have a good voice but neither did Bob Dylan. Great Song.

  • I need an instrumental version of this. x-x I can't stand Yoko's voice

  • @rococoness No one forced you here. Now go away.

  • @rococoness To be fair she does have a Japanese accent

  • Im so lucky to own this remix of such an amazing final track by John on that horrible night. What could have been if he'd live? Thanks for posting this track and sharing this side of John's funky side. John you are so missed in words that I cannot express. You are needed in an age of cynicism and loss of art!!!

  • Stand corrected the fine Disco not Disco were compilation of previously released track. This re-edit was first out in 1985 on 12"

  • This song is her counter to--or equivalent of--Lennon's "I'm Steppin' Out" which appeared on their next album together. She's warning him that he's on "thin ice" and that it will likely end bad.

  • yoko you rock! so ahead of your time!

  • @Bowieschlampe The 80's had tonnes of music like this

  • Wonderful voice, wonderful song, wonderful Yoko.

  • i love the tila version so much better :)

    but good song

  • Lol, video by cat from Japan...clearly a reference to David Bowie.

  • Yoko Ono is a genius !!!!

  • Super tune there is nothing else like it.

  • For those who say she can't sing...Beauty is in the EAR of the beholder

  • Three women who should never have had a microphone placed before their mouths; Pia Zadora, Paula Abdul, and oh, yes Yoko Ono!. But hey, I liked this tune, anyway!

  • This is garbage.

  • Yoko's best landing idea... maybe the only one

  • a farting asshole can be considered 'art' too

  • Glorious 70's

  • Listening to John's guitar riffs and knowing he put alot of effort into something he once left behind, and then just about an hour later he was shot dead just reminds me that no matter how much you get fed up fo something which you once loved, you should ALWAYS have the time to go back to that lost love, revisit it, cherish it, because you might never get that chance again.

John's contribution to this song might never have happened if Chapman shot him earlier in the day. R.I.P Lennon

  • her voice is ok but THOSE SOUNDS!!! i almost went deaf!

  • LOOK SHE CANT SING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The best songs on the Double Fantasy album came from Yoko, hands down! Lennon's material was lame! 'Nuff said!

  • You folks should realize that Miss ONO was A brilliant conceptional artist way before she ever hooked up with John YOKO ROCKS always has and always will

  • @esplive

Soo true! She lost some credibility when she hooked up with John L. (rip). Many people believe she would be a bigger artist if she didn't. But thats love, and "walking on thin ice"...

  • Still better then Bieber.

  • @zetetic0void

Are you kidding me? What did yoko do to you? I am a HUGE beatles fan but I listen to Mrs. Ono because I LIKE her music, Not just because of john. (Althought I do enjoy listening to him and the other beatles.) You should really learn the saying IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY, DONT SAY IT! Look at the veiws on this video, THAT IS ALOT OF YOKO FANS RIGHT THERE IN PROOF FOR YOU!!!

  • She is not capable of carrying a tune. The music is outstanding!

  • Great, but personally I prefer the Pet Shop Boys Electro Mix...

  • It can be found on a compilation called "The Pitchfork 500". Nice version indeed!

  • Steve Miller's "Abracadabra" sounds to me like a total rip off of this song.

  • @guruuDev Yes, I can hear that too!

  • Hi Hi Hi thats good :)

  • LOVE THIS SONG I BOUGHT THE 45 IN 1981 STILL HAVE IT THANKS FOR POSTING THIS LOVE YA YOKO

  • "Walking on Thin Ice" is a very haunting song. This song is made even more haunting to all of us, moreso than what was originally intended. I really like your presentation of this video as well, AbejaMariposalll.

  • STILL PISSED AT YOKO!

  • First heard this on a dance floor circa 1982. There are so many versions of this song now. But this is the version I remember from the 80's

  • Cheers

  • I love that song!!!

  • amazing sound on this version, and it's the full-length. Epic dance song, too bad it didn't inspire more.

  • the most beautiful pop song ever

    love to yoko

  • I got creeped out listening to this. I mean, WTH?!?!?

  • @jasonaldeanqueen24 pussy fuck

  • Likes

  • This is indeed the best version. Jams right from the start.

  • great dance song and recorded even better. Thanks.

  • Really nice. It is a tragic irony that this was what they were working on when he died.

  • sad... all the good ones on the left get shot.

  • i always loved this song, it reminds me of a theme song for a japanese super hero.

  • I don't care what the Yoko-bashers say.... John Lennon had these tapes in his pocket when he was shot (IMHO his assassin was a CIA-backed MKUltra mind-controlled stooge ... certain elements didn't like Lennon's popular opinions ... but that's beside the point regarding this song). Additionally, this is a cool song ... I like the lyrics about the girl who tied to cross the frozen lake ... and it was as big as the ocean ... "I wonder if she knew about it" : I find that a powerful bunch of words!

  • @zetetic0void Uh huh, and are you wearing a wire mesh hat because the govt is reading your thoughts? Seriously. Most of Yoko's output was her tuneless shreiking. She could have never ever done this by herself, John Lennon was the only reason anybody listened to her, usually for about 5 seconds at a time. And as for the man who killed Lennon, he was an obsessed fan, simple as that. Dude, go outside, interact with people...you've obviously been inside on the computer way too much.

  • @zetetic0void i think you are right about that. thanks for posting this comment .

  • gorge!!

  • great visuals!

  • ai ai ai ai!

  • Love the videoclip with the writing flashing- good effect. I just love this song. There is something quite whole about it and also unique and groundbreaking. It's stood the test of time....I am surprised it hasn't been widely interpreted - but then, could anyone top Yoko?

    Yoko is the consumate artist!

  • Great version!

  • nice version!

  • This was re-edited by Joseph Watt from Razormaid.

  • Is this the version on Double Fantasy? I've never heard the beginning before. Thanks for the upload!
