@MrJuha82 That sort of accident has happened a few times in F1, it's usually somtheing breaks, then under braking or moving out to overtake it throws them off the track. It happened to Christian Klien at Melbourne 2006.and Kimi Raikonnen in 2007.

I'm sure he survived this. Racing drivers are tougher than majority of other sports, especially Moto GP riders. One of the riders hit another's bike at full speed, did a full flip, and lived to tell the tale.

Amazing one can survive that in a '90 formula ford car. But what about the arm? When the arm is not broken, at least the shoulder is dislocated (so out of joint), isnt it?

The driver is Sascha Ickenroth. The crash happens at Zandvoort, a round of the german Formula Ford Championship in the Year 2000. After he was in Coma, he could race again one year after this crash.

I don't think he died.. doesn't look that bad. The rollbar should have done their job. And I wouldn't give to much on that he's not leaving the car five seconds after the crash. There are car's everywhere, that would be mad!

I saw at one point (0:05) hi arm was under the car as it rolled, and at the end it just hangs out the side of the car. Shows how safe these things are. Race drivers are real men, just look at the things that can happen. Glad he's ok.

the driver almost certainly lost control due to something breaking on the car. totally out of his control. that's the risk of racing these cars.
