Thank you so much for posting this. Pilot was my favourite band, bought all their records, saw them in concert in Glasgow. Only one in my school who loved them while all the numb heads where into the bay city rollers??? Played the flute then so really appreciated the melodies and loves to play along with the records. I travelled the world doing voluntary work and when I finally returned to Scotland 20 years later my parents had given my albums to charity. Thought I would never hear them again.
I have this beautiful album and bought most of the others that followed. A supremely talented band , great songs and melodies. --I had the great pleaure of exchanging a couple of emails with David Paton a while back and he was such a gent exchanging memories of his days in Pilot. This song tugs at the heart a bit ---what do you think... Ed x
GOD, I love this song! It's just that if newer songs had half of the melodic sense that these good old songs had, I'd have no complaints. New music tends to suck these days. It's so sad. Where did melody go? now It's all about a beat, a riff and some angry shit being sung on top of it. That is my simplistic explaination of popular music these days. Gosh, I feel old, but I was only 5 years old when this came out. It didn't escape my ears though...
I am having the best Christmas ever listening to all these old favourites. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
