Because it can also be uncomfortable, as you upstate New yorkers can I'm sure relate too, as our weather is the same. Hi Toy, Thanks for your kind comment. These little birds are called Chickadees and our city's trail society puts out bird seed for them. Children will put the seeds in their hands and hold them up and these little birds will land right on their hands. So, they are very curious and tame!
