To grow old by living a life consisting of many happy days in succession, that's the ultimate. Do not think that being old is so bad. To die before experiencing all that life has to offer is what is bad.

I gave her lots of treats and bran mash, then I let her loose in the pasture with the rest of the horses, she hadnt got to do that for a long time because she was really sick. She couldnt see very well. Despite her pain, she kicked up her heels and galloped around. When the vet came, I kissed her and held her head as she died. Goodbye Shiloh, I love you and miss you <3

She was cute, wasn't she? I watched the story of Honeysuckle and really enjoyed it. I had horses like Honeysuckle and I did lots of stories as well when I was young. Very entertaining.
I am sorry to say she died right after the film. Her owners were afraid she wouldn't be able to get up that day. It took a lot of people to get her on her feet that morning.
I was very emotional filming it. It was very hard because I love horses so much and I lost a white horse just like her when I was 24. I could understand why her owner wanted to have a video of her.
I think that she could see that day better than anyother day since her blindness had happen.Because, she look at you and her handler many times.She when she was turn lose in the gated area she look around and troted a little.She knew someone was at the gate and she came over.
What you wrote is so beautiful, I read it a couple of times. You are right and spiritually aware. Like this beautiful horse, I have been fighting blindness for 12 years and yet I see in a way others cannot. It has only enhanced my photography. That day, I could see more deeply into her peaceful soul.

She died right after that. Everyone on the farm was standing around watching because they all loved her and wanted to see if she would trot one last time. Her legs were full of arthritis. At the end, this wind came and she seemed to draw energy from it and she trotted. Everyone was crying. I was too and couldn't see through the camera. She was very loved and had a good life. Netter than most humans. BTW, I liked your video of the baby laughing and biting the dog.
I am so sorry you are upset. She was 36 and I tried to make the video sweet but parting never is, is it? I have personally lost horses and dogs and it rips my soul but I would trade anything for the time I had with them. I am happy for you that you have shetlands and a miniture one. Thank you for watching the video even though it was painful because you honored her by watching it.

I know. I did. I am trying to glue my heart back. I went to that farm today and saw her grave. She had a beautiful life though.
