in real life, that would be a VERY bad idea, because it is dangerous firering the high standart model 10 shotgun with the left hand, because of the shell ejection port, you would bet the empty shell right in your face

@Marcohazard Correct. There's a bullpup pump shotgun ("bullpump?") in the works called the P-12, project started by Monolith then sold to Magpul. Imagine a pump-action 12-gauge FN P90. It uses 18- or 20-round (not sure which) top-fed mags and has bottom ejection for full ambidexterity.

The reason why a lot of us are playing black ops is to get away from the bullsh*t in MW2 (i.e. one man army, danger close, commando, Akimbo shottys). Why in the hell Treyarch thought it was a good idea to put those pieces of garbage in the game is beyond me. Last night i killed a camper sitting in the corner of a room that had those, picked em up, and killed him again with his own guns as he came for payback lol thats what he gets for being a douchebag

I'm finding that every weapon in this game seems to have advantages and disadvantages. There are no "F2000's" OR "ACR's".

I started using the Stoner 63 LMG tonight. That thing is beastly. It's like a big AR really,

I also saw some people using the G11 tonight, and I really want to unlock it soon. Seems like it's equivalent to the MW2 FAMAS.

The G11 is a thousand times faster than the FAMAS, so there's no comparison. Especially when the G11 has a 48 round clip with caseless ammo spitting 2000 RPM. No comparison at all. Also, the Stoner 63 basically is a modular weapon, so it's more or less an assault rifle than an LMG. Future Weapons and the Military Channel FTW.

@KaiserFlamberge That may be true in real life, but I meant in-game. The MW2 FAMAS does more damage (40-30 per bullet, compared to 35-25 on the G11), but the G11 seems to fire a bit faster. It probably comes down to which one is more accurate.

Ammo is a whole different story. I reload after each kill/fight, so having 6 more shots on top of 10 isn't really a deciding factor for me. Also the two attachments for the G11 are really bad for non-hardcore play. FAMAS + Silencer = Doom in MW2.

Hopefully it doesn't become the new 1887s, then again--shotguns are primary weapons again so it shouldn't be as overpowered as you lose the range advantage.

It seems to be turning into the 1887s, but to me it looks like there's enough disadvantages to it. For one, the four shots go pretty fast and you have to reload often. If you have slight of hand, then your range is nothing compared to the 1887s. If you have steady aim, it takes too long to reload.
