sooo nice to hear jimi's voice and guitar on a song for the first time! that hasnt happened in years for me. i expected some overproduced pasted together crap. thank god that i can experience new hendrix music at 45 years old.
does this sound tinty and the voice to far back? wondering if the vinyl sounds the same.
Jimi didn't release this when he was alive because it was a demo concept that didn't quite gel. The song is about Atlantis rising from the deep again during the age of Aquarius.
im telling you something and im not going to lie, this songs raises my libido so much! i feel like a freaking rabbit after listening to it, it raises my mood so damn much!
@KannibasKing420 I'm trying to keep my videos ad free, but it's getting increasingly harder with YT's 'Matched third party content'. So my apologies if an ad appears in the future.
I wouldn't have a problem with ads being shown before a video if I knew all revenues would go to the Hendrix foundation, which of course isn't the case now.
god i love hendrix, i think hendrix is th eanswer to every ones problem, and that's not just drunk talk. he's the effin man....................... man
@L0veofdarkness naa he's talkin' bout the lost civilization in the Atlantic Ocean, Atlantis. Neptune (the god of the sea w/ his triton in tow) has a valley which I guess is the world's oceans. if you were to take the water away and were perched on a vantage point somewhere on a continental shelf you'd see a vast valley-like expanse set out
before you.
being that Neptune the planet is gas giant there is no land and therefore no valleys and I think Jimi was aware of this.
@g0ldbuG legend of Atlantis would then be when the sea floor rises (ala the song lyrics) to become its own new continent where sea people lead the world in advanced technology the aliens gave us.
"look out east coast you're gonna have a neighbor" line may be in reference to the rising of the Atlantis continent would be adjacent to the east coast of north america and hence its neighbor. sea imagery and creatures were a favorite of Jimi's. some of that ended up in his masterful track "1983[...]"
Perhaps someone can clear this up for me? How did Jimi Hendrix have enough unreleased recordings for more than half a dozen posthumous albums? It's one thing to have one, maybe two posthumous albums, but could Hendrix have had so many?
@TheFrickinPope do you realize how much this man played his guitar?? he spent countless nights sleeping with it after long jam sessions...i wouldn't be surprised if we never see all of his work!
Yeah, you know this guy really sucked until Chas stopped breathing down his neck. This right here, now this is what he always intended. Not that Crosstown Traffic shit.
This is so awsome imagine who it couldve influenced if it was released in the 60s evry song from him has sumthing that u never find in others music i swear
all of you need to quit talking ridiculous shit. But... I feel in my heart jimmi is somehow still together and trapped somehow on planetary neptune...and my goatass friend with the flute has given me a plan...
I've heard this song on the local College station and wondered how I missed it. Great song and a great remastering. How come there is'nt like 3 mil hits yet?
@Alvaro00071 the government found this album back in the day, they heard it and became amazed with it's energy and waited for a dark time in history to reveal the album in order to increase our morale, and that's what they did, they put it out just before the 2010 crisis to make us feel better. xD
@acm12358 Unfortunately, the majority if America have terrible taste in music and haven't even heard of Jimi. They're more focused on what's "cool" to listen to than what's actually good....I'm hoping that vinyl will make a comeback and that they at least release this on record. I love my Ipod and the CD player in my BMW, but vinyl is so original. It's what I prefer to use at home. I'm only on here because this isn't on vinyl!
@Transformers2themax Actually, it has been released on vinyl alongside the CD version. I'm not sure how available it is in music stores, but you should be able to get it from online retailers.
If you have any more questions or remarks, feel free to send me a PM,

I read that Mitch filmed Jimi while they were on the road as they did all that travelling in the U.S. on 8 millimeter film of Jimi going snorkeling.
Perhaps he got the idea for this song because of that experience.
Mitch is certainly at the top of his game here.
Tighter then tight jam, ...beautiful !
