sooo nice to hear jimi's voice and guitar on a song for the first time! that hasnt happened in years for me. i expected some overproduced pasted together crap. thank god that i can experience new hendrix music at 45 years old.

Neptune (the god of the sea w/ his triton in tow) has a valley which I guess is the world's oceans. if you were to take the water away and were perched on a vantage point somewhere on a continental shelf you'd see a vast valley-like expanse set out

before you.

being that Neptune the planet is gas giant there is no land and therefore no valleys and I think Jimi was aware of this.

"look out east coast you're gonna have a neighbor" line may be in reference to the rising of the Atlantis continent would be adjacent to the east coast of north america and hence its neighbor. sea imagery and creatures were a favorite of Jimi's. some of that ended up in his masterful track "1983[...]"

I read that Mitch filmed Jimi while they were on the road as they did all that travelling in the U.S. on 8 millimeter film of Jimi going snorkeling.

Perhaps he got the idea for this song because of that experience.

@Alvaro00071 the government found this album back in the day, they heard it and became amazed with it's energy and waited for a dark time in history to reveal the album in order to increase our morale, and that's what they did, they put it out just before the 2010 crisis to make us feel better. xD

@acm12358 Unfortunately, the majority if America have terrible taste in music and haven't even heard of Jimi. They're more focused on what's "cool" to listen to than what's actually good....I'm hoping that vinyl will make a comeback and that they at least release this on record. I love my Ipod and the CD player in my BMW, but vinyl is so original. It's what I prefer to use at home. I'm only on here because this isn't on vinyl!
