  • @kronschmidt Your retarded...Most traceurs/freerunners jump with their calfs and they are still fine...Unless you're obese or a steroids bodybuilder it won't hurt you

  • toe bounces are called Dorsi Bounding, referring to dorsal flexion of the ankle joint. This exercise is a plyometric reactive training exercise.

  • Dorsi flexion is the peak of the bound, which is why it's called a dorsi bound. There is a point when the foot is plantar flexed, however that is not the focus of the movement. You are correct though that there is plantar flexion attained.

  • What he meant to say is, "cardio is NOT the most efficient way of burning calories." I am not going to get into the proof of this statement since it has been scientifically documented many times over.

    Anybody can create their own interval workouts by using 5-6 bodyweight exercises. Do each exercise for 20 seconds at 90% effort, then rest 15 seconds; repeat for each exercise; rest 1 minute between circuits. Do enough circuits to complete 15-20 minutes.

  • I think it's a great workout, but when I see a trainer out of breathe after only a few reps, I can't help myself but to find really ironic the fact that, in the presentation, the same guy says : "Cardio Suck"...

  • It doesn't matter if your a professional athlete or an average Joe, doing these types of exercises are always going to leave you out of breath within a few sets, and on top of that he has to talk and explain what to do.

  • that;s no excuse for not TELLING people while he is TALKING to remember to inhale and exhale at the proper times. and a lot of his clients are beginners so that would be useful to them because it does make a difference

  • Great workout, wish had those stability balls. Although you can probably do that with a medicine ball. Might even be harder. Gotta try this one day. Ballantyne is the man.
