its just a design flaw of the gear.

mebe the body peice is too big, try the next smaller size.

definately don't lean back, you lose balance and power .. the object of getting the kick higher is in on how high you initially bring your knee up

the higher the knee starts with the chamber, the easier it will be to get the kick up higher
