I love this song, though sometimes it's too hard to listen to. While I agree that the last line is sad, I'm always touched that he actively mourned her for four years.

A beautiful song. One of my sisters died in a car crash over 30 years ago. This song could be her. I also agree with the commenter that says it reminds her/him of "The Lovely Bones". It has the same feeling.

This is possibly the saddest song I've ever heard. Get a HQ version and listen to in with good headphones or speakers, not YT quality. It's eerie. She has a beautiful voice too. Incidently second saddest song is Travelling Soldier by the Dixie chicks.
