I agree that the majority of the candidates skirted the issues and never actually addressed the actual questions they were being asked. It's been clear to me for a while that the major Republican strategy is to oust Obama from office and they'll say whatever it takes to make that a reality. In my opinion, when you make your number 1 political goal to defeat the other side, you've lost site of what's really important and that's the will of the people. That's why I'm voting Ron Paul in 2012!

Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. Herman Cain a figure head? Under Obama, black youth have a current unemployment of almost 50% the highest it has been in 70 years. Adult black unemployment is also at its highest in 70 years. Herman Cain unfortunately has the same problem that Ron Paul has. He sounds pretty good to everybody except the people he has to sound good to. The Republican base. The Republican base is not ready to support a man who falls outside the realm of their ultra-conservative ideology. This is the reason that Perry has been practically anointed. Cain is a moderate Republican while Perry is a political and social conservative.
It's really the fault of the candidates themselves and our countrys dependence on the 2 party political system. The Republican debate was a joke. I didn't hear one substantive comment from any candidate about jobs or outsourcing. These are the two most talked about issues that Americans are talking about and not one thing substantive about jobs, and no mention whatsoever about outsourcing. If Perry is the nominee, Obama will kill him on social security. If Romney is the nominee, Obama will kill him on outsourcing. I'm now 90% convinced that Obama will win in 2012, no problem!

Question: Why is it that no matter what the topic of discussion is, race ALWAYS ssems to make its way into the subject matter? This person is discussing his opinion on the debate. The way that he pronounces certain words or how his hair looks SHOULD NOT be up for discussion. If you disagree with his views, fine. State your rebuttal and then carry on with your day. Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. We also need to stop (right now) wasteful handout programs like medicare, social security, unemployment,, etc. and lower the minimum wage to $2/hr so we can compete with China for jobs. I will work with Boehner, Ryan and my other republican colleagues and take immediate action on these proposals. God bless the GOP!

Herman Cain a figure head? Under Obama, black youth have a current unemployment of almost 50% the highest it has been in 70 years. Adult black unemployment is also at its highest in 70 years. Blacks are suffering like never before under Obama..who has no business back ground and very little government experience. Cain has run three major businesses hired thousands of minorites and understands economics and business. He is studying Governmental policy and would make a great President unlike Obama

Herman Cain unfortunately has the same problem that Ron Paul has. He sounds pretty good to everybody except the people he has to sound good to. The Republican base. The Republican base is not ready to support a man who falls outside the realm of their ultra-conservative ideology. This is the reason that Perry has been practically anointed. Cain is a moderate Republican while Perry is a political and social conservative.

It's really the fault of the candidates themselves and our countrys dependence on the 2 party political system. When we rid ourselves of that dependence, then we will have a way for people whose thinking is out of the box to have a better chance at representing us. Ron Paul and Herman Cain are really Libertarian (Paul) and Independent (Cain). It's just prudence for them to call themselves Republicans.

I think Cain is much more conservative socially then you belive..and thats great if he is. He certainly is a fiscal conservative. The Republicans have basically been slower moving democrats the last 12 to 16 years, far to liberal. The Tea Party movement is the reaction to what you claim is ultra conservative ideology from the republicans, its because they are to liberal.

He doesn't want us empire building around the world (which is one of the main strains on our economy) He also prefers we help the poor in our country over those in other countries FIRST, but not through gov mandates. But it's not true. Look at most polls taken. Just last night, msnbc put a poll out asking who won the debate. Over 150k people voted. And the results are contrary to popular belief. Ron Paul was the only candidate last night that provided any real substance with his answers. Even though I didn't agree with some of his answers, at least he provided some substance. The rest especially Perry and Romney seemed to rely on soundbites (Perry) and rhetorical nonsense mixed with an exaggerated record(Romney).

The Republican debate was a joke. I didn't hear one substantive comment from any candidate about jobs or outsourcing. These are the two most talked about issues that Americans are talking about and not one thing substantive about jobs, and no mention whatsoever about outsourcing. If Perry is the nominee, Obama will kill him on social security. If Romney is the nominee, Obama will kill him on outsourcing. I'm now 90% convinced that Obama will win in 2012, no problem!
