  • Nice tute, very well explained! Are you playing much/any 3S online at the moment?

  • Can someone please explain the timing for the charges to me.

I've been stuck trying to do this the past 2 days. T___T

and it would be nice if someone taught me.

    here's my GT-I chiinkky I

    I play on xbox.

  • I don't have the words to thank you for this. Because of your video, I learned all three of the combos you showed in a little over an hour. I've always wanted to try Urien, but I was never able to do anything and didn't know how to approach learning. Thanks to this, I'm going to attempt to main him, because he's just so awesome.

  • For some reason they always get up right before the hit the aegis in my mid screen unblockables =/ why is that?

  • Whao..this is a really nice tutorial...you should make more

  • Trying to do TTH makes me feel like I'm L.D Can't even get the secound Tackle out right. I been doing this for 7 hour's now lol.

  • Lol, my god...

It's been a little over two weeks, but I just can't do this. I've had more luck throwing out the 2 QCF's after the second tackle, but I've only landed it about 6 times in total.

If I try going from back or down-back into a QCF motion for the second tackle, ->+MK almost ALWAYS comes out instead. I don't know what I'm doing wrong :(

  • Do you have any tips for canceling the second tackle into aegis? I can NOT for the life of me do this. Do you buffer the QCF motion into the second tackle and then follow up with QCF+P or do you mash out both QCFs afterwards? Either way, it's really hard...

  • @ViciousBOSS When you do the second tackle, what you want to do is go from down back, to down, to forward as if you're doing a qcf motion (this will execute the tackle) after that when the tackle hits you just perform another qcf and the super should come out

you have to make sure to at least get 1 qcf out before the tackle unless you plan on quickly grinding out those 2 qcfs after the tackle hits which you can do as well but its not as easy as doing a qcf for the tackle then one for the super

  • @Sf3lp Yea, that's what I figured would be the easiest way. TTH is relatively easy for me now, but when I try using the method with the QCF motion into the second tackle, it just always comes out too late. I still haven't landed it once yet.

Guess I'll just have to keep practicing. Much thanks.

  • Nice tutorial helped a lot. I have one random question though. Do you have any tips on doing qcfx2 fast and effectively like the way you do it in the vid during your combos?

I hold the stick exactly like you do, but I fail to get it consistently maybe its cos my execution has suffered due to SF4 but if you could just give me some advice i'd appreciate it.

  • when holding a ball top stick you would need to be as gentle with it as you can, applying too much force to it wouldnt be good since you cant move it as fast...you mainly want to control the top part of the stick so you would use all your fingers except your pinky and do the motions as if you were about to make a fist while moving your hand from down to right quickly (sometimes it may just be your execution and not rly the way you hold the stick, if thats the case then training mode will help)

  • @Sf3lp Thanks for that. I only really fail this in games such as 3S and Alpha 3. In SF4 the execution is so lenient that I can get it easily. Since I started with that game I think it has hurt my execution a lot.

Do you know if HDR has a training mode with input display? I could buy that and play it to help better my execution. What do you think?

  • in the competitive scene sf4 has hurt a lot of players execution wise for that same reason, it just takes a lot more practice in training mode to get an actual feeling for executing the motions easily

i wouldnt rly know if HDR has that kind of thing in training mode but if it did it would definitely help as of right now basically any thing type of training mode with a character who uses 2 qcf's for a super will help you...just practice it consistently about 100 times and youll be fine

  • sooo...how difficult is this to do on a ps2 controller?

  • its harder than using stick imo

but if your used to using a ps2 pad then you should be able to get this out just like any other move

  • Tried partitioning on a xbox, dreamcast, ps2 controllers, then a keyboard and using a stick. And what I can tell you is,on a ps2 controller it's very possible because among all those consoles, ps2 has the best pad but there's a specific way to holding it which makes charge partitioning a little more comfortable to perform. If it's too hard, go with a stick,I have used the x-arcade before and it did well. With a stick, it's so easy, you can drink water and charge partition at the same time.goodluck

  • yea i would imagine it being much easier with a stick.

first i need a job, then il get a stick :)

  • Im having trouble with charge partitionig while dashing. I've tried to charge down, dash forward, charge down (while dashing), up, punch to perform the headbutt, but It doesnt work for me. Can some one give me any tips? It would really improve my Urien if I can master this technique. Thanks in advance.

  • this is how I started, the easiest charge setup IMO is do a knee drop with short kick, while doing so, quickly press down, as soon as you land, release the charge start dashing before the landing ends, as soon as you start dashing, press down, and as soon as your dash ends press up and punch ;)

watch my videos, you will see me doing that, just so you get an idea on what im talking about.

  • your most likely not charging right

it can be that your not holding the down back charge long enough or you dont press down during the dash to get enough charge for the move

try different timings on the down back charge..you can try counting the charge time then do the move... you can try applying that same charge time to when you hold down back then dash forward and hold down and count at the same time

you can also try to get the charge during the dash faster and see if thats the problem

  • what kind of fight stick do you use?

  • *sigh* i wish i had tons of cash to buy me a nice stick...getting bored of my laptop's keyboard :P

  • Hello, you report that commented yet Perform Kara Palm Yun jajajajaja looks good but I have 2 questions that you, 1. It's like getting to the exit Poisson Greeting (Personal Action Hp + Hk) from Hugo. 2. Can relazar the Dangerous Headbutt (Ex) and then once, the Chariot Tackle, Well Thanks and regards. (The Palm Kara is the MP and then Lk + Palm or Lk-Palm (together)Why when I do not moves Yun hits or not ).

  • ive tried tackle tackle headbutt a hundred times, the second tackle never seems to be charged. i do down back almost instantly after i do foward mk but it never works. any tips please? everything else u showed i can do i just cant seem to get the tackle tackle headbutt out and thats really important to be a good urien player so i really want to get it. plz help.

  • there can be 2 problematic things that your doing in the execution

    1) your pressing the button late

    or

    2) your first tackle isnt early enough

but also dont forget the motion is different from just pressing the button you dont have to wait to see the move to come out in order to move on to the next phase

you might be waiting subconsciously to do the motion and you dont realize it...at least thats a problem i had when i first tried this combo

  • the timing is not the same for the second tackle than for the first one,the first one its about when the opponent start to fall, the second is later, about mid screen, because for the first you are charging while the cr.hp so you can launch it sonner, for the second you have to wait a bit more, so if your urien do the standing f+mk move instead of the tackle its maybe you dont wait enough time, or your first one come too much late ( i press mk when urien is starting to pull back his shoulder)

  • Not bad at all. I'd recommend a top-down view for the stick though, so people can see you move from charge to the tackle and back again more easily.

    N

  • yea at the time i made this i didnt have any to help me at all and its pretty hard to have everything running in order while holding a stick, pressing buttons and using a camera...i had to opt for this instead

  • how do i partition the midscreen unblockable on dudley?

  • any tips for double tackle into aegis?

  • that shouldn't be a problem

all you have to do is execute a quarter circle forward motion then punch, and it should come out

  • For Tackle tackle headbutt...

    the tackles...

    is it: forward+mk to downback...

I've been told to do: forward -> downback +mk?

i still can't get either to work though =(...

  • i showed it in the video...i did say you have to watch carefully and plus the motion is shown on screen in text....you cant miss it lol....watch the video again :-)

  • sorry i meant to say i saw the forward +MK to downback from your video...

I guess the amount of time i gain from doing it forward=> downback+mk is negligible...

  • this is what i've always wanted ;_; a video cam on the hands of a urien player. Christmas came early this year =D

  • GREAT tutorial.

  • good stuff

  • htank the lord for this.. iv been looking for this type of video for months.. i finally see how the double tackle is performed .. thanks so much .. i shall practice more

  • ehh

  • the most in-depth tutorial ever lol. good stuff.
