Yes we all know that MJ had surgery on his nose, cheeks, etc. It is very apparent and her later admitted to a few of them. MJ fans are not that lovestruck that they can't see past the end of their noses. But it is also clear that his turning white was stemmed from vitiligo. At some point I heard he switched from brown makeup to white because eventually there was way more white skin than brown, and he would have to be coated head to toe in brown make up by then and it was starting to bother his skin. Easier to lighten the few remaining brown patches.

It is so sad that it took Michael's death and autopsy for people to believe him. He went out there day after day, year after year with all the negativity. He kept pushing on. I don't know how he did it. I think that was part of the reason he became addicted to pain killers. It was the only way he could face the public. It is very sad.

That his children are white does'ny say anything if the mother is also white, i know a girl with a black father and a white mother, and this girl is white, and it's confirmed that they are both her real parents, so you did'nt proof nothing, and yes he whore red lipstick, but so many male artist do that, many male artist where make-up, it's true that he hated his big nose, but he did'nt hate his race, he was proud to be black, and he had vitiligo.

At some point I heard he switched from brown makeup to white because eventually there was way more white skin than brown, and he would have to be coated head to toe in brown make up by then and it was starting to bother his skin. Easier to lighten the few remaining brown patches.

It is so sad that it took Michael's death and autopsy for people to believe him. He went out there day after day, year after year with all the negativity. He kept pushing on. I don't know how he did it. I think that was part of the reason he became addicted to pain killers. It was the only way he could face the public. It is very sad.

People said that he bleached his skin to look white but, even after he died and they said in his autopsy that he had it, people still wanted to say he wanted to be white.
Mike was very proud of being African American, he always showed that by visiting Africa, becoming friends with Nelson Mandela, doing a traditional chant in "Starting Something" and fighting for Africa.
Imagine being in the public eye while your skin changes and hearing all the bullshit!

for a dark skinned black man he went very white, ive seen ppl with vitligo and theyre the same colour as MJ, when black ppl bleach theyre skin they dont usually end up so white and it wouldnt lasy so long, alot of ppl accused him for wanting to be white wasnt just thru the skin, but the nose, hair and choice of women and white children

autopsy results confirmed that Michael had vitiligo. yet he had to endure the harsh criticism about him bleaching his skin and not wonting to be black from the media. and he even told in a interview in 1993 that he had a skin disease. of course the media wasnt interested in truth but what really got and still gets me angry is that those allegedly "serious" reports seem to be based on that boulevard bullshit. i am absolutely convinced that if those journalists of serious tv channels (bbc f.e.) or serious news papers dig out old boulevard magazines or go googling when making a documentary about michael jackson because they dont give a fuck about the truth.

His hair were attached in those places where had been lost in that accident. Concerning his skin it's obviously that he had vitiligo and the complete effect of white skin was its reason as also he helped himself to obtain homogenous colour through the permanent make-up. Likewise in an issue of spending too much money that caused the bankruptcy his face had changed under the influence of abuse of permanent make-up and skin disease and had ONLY those plastic operations that he had mentioned before

He had universal vitiligo, but he also went through a depigmentation process. This is recommended when the vitiligo covers at least 50% of the body, as it did for Michael. His skin was mainly white but there were small patches of black skin left too, as you can see in some of these photos.

his mother said that he did a procedure that evens out his skin..because he had the money he was able to make his whole body one colour rather than have patches all over. Being in the public eye with such a visual disease must have been so hard.. he was very brave to continue as he did.

remeber he was a BIG BIG STAR; everyone knew him so he coulnt jsut walk around with patches on his body, he had a image you now. And the only way to make it not visable was to use acream which evened out his skin but tht made his skin paler.

You can also see evidence of Michael's vitiligo of the famous Thriller poster of MJ with his arms crossed and the ghouls behind him. His arms are two VERY different colors. It's very noticable. It almost looks like a marble rye...I'm not trying to be funny.

It looks like it could be vitiligo. I mean, I'm no expert but my friend has it and it looks very similar. So because we don't know for sure, let's not start dissing him. I mean, if that was indeed vitiligo, I can't imagine what he felt when people said he didn't want to be black or that he was ashamed of his race. He may have been PROUD to be that way and really struggled in that transformation.

i was reading the book and i found out michael did have vitiligo, but he had a different kind. their are 2 types of vitiligo a deadly one and the normal kind that you see people on the streets with. his doctor prescribed him with a skin bleaching cream. Jackson did have diagnosed vitiligo, but he also bleached his skin and was found with hydroquinone (a bleaching agent) in his system when he died. I guess when he started changing, he decided to just go all out white.
