BTW, Gas prices were stready btween 1986 and 2001 with the exception of the first gulf war when they went up for about three months. In 2001 the jumped and have been on the incline since. The only reason they play the blame game is because in principle they are the same as democrats. They are the same in that they want to be in power and want to spend the money. If republicans were actually principled wouldn't they have actually tried to cut government spending? Instead government spending is up 50 percent since 2000 and the debt has grown to 9.2 trillion, over 3 times our annual budget.
