  • I use premiere pro on a mac - and want to buy a camcorder that I know will import without losing quality. My last panasonic camcorder was only ok with PC. Any ideas?

  • do you use premier pro at all? i was wondering what presetting you choose, to get the images crystal clear?

  • @RockSmith92 No I don't use that. I usually use VideoPad Video Editor, but this particular video was actually uploaded to YouTube directly from the camera output.

  • @RichardB1983 Ahh fair play, its just that sometimes when importing footage, quality can be lost and i was wondering how to prevent it.

  • @RockSmith92 YouTube does do some resampling/processing of the videos we upload, but I think you can minimise losses by picking certain preferred file formats to save your videos in. When I'm editing together a video, I usually save it as an MP4 file. I tend to find that the quality of the video on my PC is not vastly different to what I get once I've uploaded. The file sizes aren't too bad as well, expecially compared to uncompressed AVI files for example.

  • They don't make cameras like they used to. They used to have real good low light sensitivity.

  • Looks a nice Camera :-)

  • @RobCharles1981 Cheers Rob. Arrived yesterday, but I've not had a chance to test it out in daylight yet! I'm hopefully going to do a daylight shot tomorrow morning. Seems pretty good so far, but I'm still trying to find out the best settings etc.

  • @RichardB1983 Cool look forward to that, I have two cameras Sony HDR SR10E and DCR SR55E with the latter I'm trying to find the best setting for night shot mode.
