  • This song is one of the few songs she's recorded that really spooks the fuck out of me. When it was released I was having serious weirdness in my head about aging and everything around me being a fucked up cartoon of evil - war breaking out everywhere, reality TV, CCTV sprouting out of the pavement... all the crap the books I loved as a child told me I should hate. It really felt like I'd been zapped into a Philip K Dick story. Then she released this and I realised she felt that way too...

  • This is magnificent. That is all.

  • thank goodness theres fans wishing to share Fantastic Siouxsie / banshees / creatures to the world !!! i new some of her songs but blimly i'm realy like the ones i never heard !!! great voice with great drums and bass !!!!! my collection is growing best regards

  • What album this from please?

  • Great song. And yes, she's an icon. A true Diva among several phony ones manufactured by the media.

  • They don't hit for a long time, but when they hit they hit hard.

  • Probably my 2nd favorite "straight" Creatures track behind Pity from Boomerang... which really needs to find it's way onto youtube ;)

Weathercade and Godzilla are incredibly fun. Budgie is a f-ing musical genius, and Siouxie is an icon for very good reason.

  • I found this video completely by accident, watching Lonely London Lad's "Another Planet" for the thousandth time, saw this and clicked out of curiosity.

I think I might like it.

  • kewl pics of Siouxie and band~ and friends~<3

  • where do i get this song!?

  • i wonder if The Banshees were any influence on The Yeah Yeahs

  • @SniperSam I think it's a safe bet. Just listen to Karen O's voice on Y Control - it's spookily Siouxsie.

  • @graemereaper

I would say an even bigger influence on goldfrapp, i mean, listen to the opening of this song, and any song from their first album.

  • Nope, it's The Creatures from the Anima Animus album, Siouxsie & Budgie's side project. @AALK55555-- they call it Goth, but it's really just Siouxsie-- they are just themselves and do whatever they like.

  • Very nice. Thumbs up!

  • la mejor

  • la mejor de todas, siouxsie sos lo mas, i love u so much

  • My favorite song from that album a complete masterpiece, wonderful!

  • Siouxsie Sioux is ADORABLE!!!

  • What A Great Track! So Timeless...

  • This is the very first song from The Creatures I've ever heard. Good stuff. Thanks for uploading.

  • I never get tired of hearing Siouxsie's voice :-)

  • Yup, hate to admit it, but I think I like the Another Planet remix on the Lost in Space soundtrack. Wish it was on youtube somewhere.

  • There is a cooler remix of this track on the Lost In Space movie soundtrack. If you haven't heard it, check it out!

  • "This record is groundbraking"..

  • she's very pretty

  • Her voice is so....amazing!! Thanks for posting this

  • gotta say, i do like this song, hadn't been impressed with their other stuff but this is good

  • Cool Song. The song is from the cd, "Anima Animus". It's my favorite out of the 4 they made. Bestiary of is good one too.

  • I like both of them so don't care which it is, lol.

  • no, it's not the banshees, it's creatures.

  • its both, banshees first, then they seperated and siouxsie and budgy made their own band the creatures, sry got confuzzled

  • The Creatures was a side-project of Siouxsie & the Banshees, which started in 1981, based their sound more on percussion. When Siouxsie & the Banshees broke up in 1996 they turned a side project into a main band.

  • WHAT!

    1981

    SnB had 2 projects?

    nahhh I dont believe it

  • Wild Things was The Creatures first release in 1981 with five songs. Feast their first album in 1983. were as SnB first album release was 1978 with The scream.

  • @keeroy Well isn't it Siouxsie, solo?

Granted, I don't know who was playing on the album. That's how the record's labeled, simply: Siouxsie

I hadn't heard about a divorce until here. Ok. Drama not my business ><

  • @chubbychubakka Siouxsie was the lead singer of both groups, and sometimes during the same season. She is a versatile woman :)

  • @chubbychubakka

The poster is correct. This was off The Creatures' "Anima Animus" album.

  • @chubbychubakka Oook what makes you think that this is the The Banshees, really. If you were you, I would delete this comment, like... Now. =P

  • wow! This is great.

  • ...watching Lost In Space-listening to this one...I'm a fan for years now..

  • thanks, I have been looking and trying hard to remember her side project band's name

  • How does this woman not age??? Is it really her iceage history??? LOL

  • well, siouxsie is a diva. and divas are immortal :)

  • siouxsie is my IDOL

    :D:D:D:D:D::D

I LOVE THE CREATURES! i actually like them more than i likeee siouxsie and the banshees

    i wish i could text.

  • cool i like her too :D :D :D

  • es maravillosa su voz

  • sioxie i love you

  • This is REALLY fantastic!

  • ah the lyrics! sublime, and the music too!

Poetry in motion, what would life be without Siouxsie?

  • Sublime ...!

  • Oh my Cleopatra of the night...

  • Atmosphere, glamour, darkness. She´s a bitch!!! jajaja

  • assomiglia a francesca reggiani

  • The tension in this is so vigorous...

  • Very unique. I like the photos!

  • i saw her on tues at wolverhampton and she is a goddess. better than ever

  • she always have the best songs,i love this one on the creatures cd,it is the best.

  • I just found out about the divorce. y was she sick for a while .she is one of my gutsiest heroes .

  • siouxsie is an icon. so unique and so timeless...

  • @keeroy What genre music is this band? This woman is from a gothic very famous band, if I'm not wrong, and the pics looks dark, but the the song is a little industrial (but dark by any way).

  • Juno Reactor's version has a lot more dynamics in the structure...the original is nice though.

  • no offense, but juno reactor´s remix is extremely far from my musical taste. and by the way, i hate remixes of already perfect songs...

  • In visual art, a large portion (if not the majority) of the works are based on or reference previous works. I have nothing against this form of construction, if done right it can be wonderful.

  • you dont know what the hell youre talking about

  • Yes that's right I must have been asleep in every art history class, critique, gallery, and museum I've ever been in.

Reference, deference, and difference are major components of art. Whether you like it or not, you have to prepare to respond to other works when putting up work for the critics.

  • do you go to risd?

i cant put into words how badly i want to put a bullet in your head. people like you are a dime a dozen. you sit during crits with your legs crossed sipping a soy latte looking down your nose at what other people put on the wall, then when it comes time for you to show and prove, youre bound to put up some god-awful paint smears that you whipped out during the ten minutes that you didn't spend facebook prowling the night before.

  • you know i am SO glad to see this sort of art historical, analytical discourse to be brought to youtube. i'm thoroughly impressed by your reasoning and application of discipline-specific theory. i'm delighted. youtube message boards are entirely too bereft of impressive-sounding jargon used towards gratuitous self-aggrandizement. nice argument, i'd say its airtight.

  • just because you are slightly smarter than the rest of humanity doesnt mean you can leave cloying, pretentious comments on classic music videos. if you want to share your opinions with people you should stick to your local coffee shop. i would bet my life that you own one of the following items: a one-speed track bike, a hand-knit scarf, a 1920's newsie cap, some piece of katamari damacy paraphernalia. i could write an entire essay on how much i want to put a belt around your neck.

  • My bike is fixed gear but it's not a track bike.

  • well, people, you seem to know and to 'like' each other quite... :)))

  • Yeah I didn't mean to bring all this crap onto your video. Sorry.

  • Go fuck yourself! blickblock

  • Who is Juno Reactor and why should anyone care?

  • Juno is one of the most influential bands in the world. you should care.....because you for sure, aren't.

  • I don't care about anything that IS. Only stuff that WAS.

  • ah, it WAS, and still is....;)

or you stop to your own interests and by that being an ignorant?

  • Most purposefully, I would say.

  • i believe you asked "Who IS Juno Reactor..." i'm not so sure you should talk.

  • The Creatures son excelentes. Ojala Sioux venga a Mexico a presentar Mantaray, que es esta genial el material.

  • Beautiful and haunting!!!

  • I love this song! The whole Anima/Animus album is great. I love the Jungian reference.

  • What a good song! Hauntingly beautiful

  • she looks hot at 50 seconds

  • heheh, she is hot for 50 .

  • siouxsie's born in 1957. that makes her 50 going to 51. she was 41 when this track was made in 1998.

  • must be the music that keeps her looking so young

  • Magnifico, More Creatures Please!!!
