@OrfeasTHEwr like all rc cars you will always have problems.the fazer is a good learning car it is my first car and has tought me lots they are easy to drive and maintain spares are easy to pick up for the price of these cars you cant go wrong.

I hhave the same car, but different body shell. Dud you add the fuel in the fuel tank, or just test the engine without adding guel? The video really helps me. I have my car 4 days ago still haven't figured how to get it start. I will try follow your video, and see if it helps.

lol...thanks mate. Yes, you need fuel in order to make the engine run. In this video, I've filled the fuel tank up before starting the engine.

nice. i hav the same car but u didnt break it i right. u need to tune it up so it can run right. right now its just runnin on its regular engine u gotta let it idile 4 a couple of tanks and tune it up thats wht i did now my car goes like 60mph!!!

"Break in" is an essential procedure for new engine. What you need to do is to run the engine in "idle" postion for few tanks of fuel. Thus, the fuel can lubricate the internal parts of the engine, extending its life and increasing its performance.

I'm new to Fazer, first break in what's the adjustment? needle 4, idle 1-2mm, mixture 1/2 turn open, are these correct? my RPM seemed faster during the break in. and the heat sink burned my fingers!

No. It is a GZ-15 engine.

The needle valve is unscrewed 4,5 turns, so it should be way enough.

But is your heatsink still plain black as the plastic, or is it now a little lighter, almost gray?

My heatsink is black in colour. When I operate the engine, I can smell a bad odour, just like burning plastic.

How many turns on the needle valve, and how many turns on the fuel/air adjustment?

Smoke from beneath the heatsink can mean to much fuel, and the odor is the smell of the metanol.

I'm just wondering, my Fazer got really hot on the first drive, and the engine smoked a lot!

So the cooler on top is now gray instead of black, is this normal?

On the second run, the engine didn't smoke.

Which glow plug are you using? If you are using OS, Glow Plug No. 8 will be better than A3. On the other hand, you should use higher nitro % fuel to cool down the engine. You should open two holes on the shell so that they can cool down the engine.

Em...Lastly, check the engine needle if it is too lean or not. The engine will be damaged if it doesn't smoke.

Use 16% nitro, it will run well, and take care of your motor. 25% is like begging to kill your motor. Some recommend it to sell more engines.

YO if this is only on its third tank and your putting 25% nitro through it, it aint good. Thats like giving a little kid whiskey. You should only use 5 or 10% nitro to break it in. lol
