  • Fix the window with some fasteners!!!

  • still sliding too much...

  • 3 people need to eat shit and die...

  • i think he is exiting the corners way to aggressively. gtr's are fastest cars when it comes to exiting corners but the way he is doing it (like sliding it out of the corner) is not the best way and the tires needs to change every 10 laps.

try to go easy on the throttle when coming out of corners. this is one hell of a car.

plans to go to japan with it?

  • User Friendly.... LOL

Would really like to challenge the cyber evo... LOL!

  • @cssbarry

It lost to the cyber evo at the Super Lap Battle. There is a video on Mative's channel.

  • it's fast but too unstable...

  • that car eats up that track. the rb26 just has too much power, and that driver knows how to handle a r34 for sure.

  • This car has a grip problem, and it's to heavy.

  • 0:09

    lol that window^^

  • Man that thing looks like its HORRIBLE to drive!

The boost curve is VERY steep!

They should have some kind of intelligent boost control system!

  • wish we had these rather than gay taxis at Bathurst...I hope they got a better setup before the race meet and secured those windows

  • 1:41 watch the driving first

  • it's prety dificult to drive this car whith so much torque

  • Why the music ?

  • Mark send me that shirt and i'll send you piece of my mommas best world wide lasagnas.

  • Does anyone know the laptime around eastern creek? Be somewhat quicker than those V8 Supercar taxi's... lol

  • Windows hanging off, bonnets lifting, cars got way too much over steer, not enough traction.....but i'd still have it and it kills my car.

  • You should be shot for adding music to this.

  • that thing must absolutely chew tyres and fuel, looks like way too much oversteer, also E85, if they have pit stops in the racing won't the heavy fuel usage mean they pit more often?

man just looks so sloppy and all over the place, very very fast but looks horrible to drive

  • I thought that this was a drift race coz you aint got the car set up, it would be perfect for drifting. Great driving, awsum car ( I am a Holden man) try short shifting alittle more lol overall 8/10

  • i love how it shifts

  • You can see the chassis flex on the driver window shots. Watch the window flex away from the car under power and braking.

  • The cars in 2wd 90% of the time he said, 4wd only cuts in sometimes, see his other videos on it, he explains why of the traction loss

  • LOL @ ppl saying a RB is better than a VR. I didint know there were so many engineers on youtube.

  • Damn, it's a AWD, yet he constantly has to counter steer when exiting a corner...

  • I LOVE RACING... Live breath and eat it...

    but..

"...I might miss my first children's birth...*beep.." lol uhm...

  • e85 at its finest!

  • Comment removed

  • the bonnet and leaking panels are slowing it down put all the rubbers back in and fix the bonnet its creating drag just look at 888 racing in 2004 the sealed the cars up and went faster.

  • @jungtir~man.... he's got no rear end traction because his variable-pitch-rear-wing settings are all wrong!

  • is the bonnet and drivers window look too lose to anyone... he could save some time with aerodynamics if he got them to stop moving maybe???

  • may be if he looses some kg he might actually go a bit faster..

  • mountain of horsepower but looks like it isnt set up all that well. I would be spending more time worrying about sorting suspension out to deliver the power rather than testing differences between the advan tyres

  • VR38 may be a better engine, but the VR38 design concept was based from the RB seris motor wasnt it? :S?

  • one of my boss's other toys... R34 Nurburg special GTR

  • more weight.....

  • Those Atessa diffs aren't up to the job of harnessing all that power and delivering it

  • I dont know what they have done with the setup but he might want to either lower the high speed bump, soften up the swaybar on the rear or adjust the tyre pressures(depending on the temps he is getting). There are alot of diff. things that could obviously be the cause for the oversteers apart from the power, but he should be able to get more traction down. I loved the old r32, I was out at QR driving when he was testing just before he took it to Japan. Can't wait to see this one in the flesh too

  • Sick driver and sick skyline!

  • Like i said to all the aussies at the track at QR. He never had a chance at beating the Japs at Superlap. The Japs own TC and time and time again have proven just how fast they are over there.

None the less, Kudo to the octane skyline, its no slouch thats for sure!

  • It's so wonderful when it blows by the Ultima gtr can am.

    Love it!

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is it struggling for traction?

  • the spoiler is amazing

  • GTR all the way! Glad to see some serious Nissan power smashing V8's like Bathurst. Good luck on the day Mark.

  • Wow.. The chassis isn't flexing, the window isn't plastic. Haven't you guys ever owned a car that has a door with a window that isn't framed all the way around it?

  • Actually ive owned R32's, R33 and currently own an R34. The windows dont flap around like that at all. Lexan make a lot more sense, especially considering the time attack nature of the car. The endless pusuit for weight reduction, and reducing front end weight means the glass was probably the first thing to go.

  • @marcosmendez25 , i think the rest of the drive train may hinder the r35's progress for a while.

in the r32 , i have never broken a standard drive shaft with many 100's of launches. In the r35 i have already broken a driveshaft and i have heard of others breaking theres too. also the transmission will require a complete redesign to handle 800 to 1000 hp launches. eg holinger etc

  • Well, maybe you´re right, because when the RB26DETT was released in 1989, the ECU and the ENGINE was hard to tune, but with time brands like HKS found the way to tune it, in few years the RB26DETT reached the 600 hp, and many years later the RB reached the 1000 hp! a similar situation is happening with the VR38DETT, at first people and Nissan said that the new VR was impossible to tune, and that´s not true. I hope to se soon a 9 secs 1/4 mile R35 and a 1000 hp R35. LONG LIFE TO THE GT-R!!

  • @marcosmendez25 dude AMS r35 GTR is already running 9.90s check it out.

  • I think I just sht my pants...LOL

  • no the chassis isnt flexing ,

the window is plastic and is opening from air pressure inside the cabin

  • @giantruss yeah right what would you know.

  • @manoomanum if only you knew what you were talking about, for starters check some of giantruss's video's then re watch this and pay special attention at 1:50 :D

  • @zertek2k calm down big guy... i know whats up i was just f'n with him.

  • manoomanum: probably coz giantruss is business partners with Mark Berry, the driver, and help build it ,dickhead. Absolutely amazing car.

  • Awesome, man it seems to flex a lot!

  • Time Attack machine !

  • I think: RB26DETT is much better than VR38DETT.

  • sounds better, has a million times more character but lets face it. THe VR38 is a better engine. You cant argue with the numbers. Put it in a R34 and see what happens

  • @MotiveDVD I have to agree with marcosmendez25 i prefer the RB26 over the VR38, im not saying the VR38 isnt an impressive engine but the RB26 is just a legendary piece of engineering.

  • @MotiveDVD

The VR38 is a good engine ONLY when it is placed in the R35 GT-R's trans-axle AWD system, in my personal opinion. The numbers show only how good an engine it is when it rolls out from the Nissan factory. The VR lacks the inpossible toughness of the RB26 and at the moment also lacks the 20 years worth of racing and tuning know-how that feed the RB's impossible performance.

  • @MotiveDVD i wanna see that

  • @MotiveDVD~ 48% more displacement and variable cam lift, duration and phasing!

    Of course its better!

  • @MotiveDVD I personally love inline-6's much more than their "V disposition" counterpart

  • @MotiveDVD it dosnt fit in R34. the engine is way to big.

  • @MotiveDVD Yeah it's also $45000 for a stock fresh vr38 vs $2000 for a n1 rb26 block and $14000 for a cosworth rotating assembly.

  • @marcosmendez25 rb26 is way better than the vr they cant hold the block together on the vr over 900hp cast iorn is heavy but dam strong

  • @marcosmendez25~ The VR38 is CLEARLY better!

  • just two tips on this beautiful car... fix the window, lol... unless that's part of the aero upgrade haha.. and perhaps the hood needs risers or reinforcement from flexing? both look like they're about to come off..

  • man, i can't believe how fast it can be and be so loose at the same time. frickin jumps all over the place. looses grip in a straight line. seems like a damper issue to me (not a professional)

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!! The sounds....the car...

    ...I need the dvd!

  • Looks great, might just have to keep that rear wing at full attack till well after you exit the corner cause there seems to be smoke comming from the rear tyres, lol.

  • I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps tie in the wing actuator control to lateral G sensors.

Is that door opening due to engine torque twist or just general chassis twist. I know they do twist somewhat when jacked up, but i figured this car would be full of bracing not to mention having the cage tied into the shell.

  • seems youtube gets more and more spammed with ppl advertising pr0n sites and other shit!

...on with the video , great car , great track!

  • How he keeps that on the track is beyond me ... Awesome car.

  • serious fun!

  • Someone's got their wires crossed....

  • I suppose that's why they're testing all these different aero bits - to get more downforce exiting corner - that's when he seems to be struggling for traction.

Don't rule this car out, it's very quick and the driver has a good knowledge of the track.

  • shakes a lot :P

  • WTF???

  • How much power is it running on e85?

  • damn that thing is fast, needs more traction

  • All that oversteer is time lost.. Def needs a lot more than what's being shown to be a top contender.

  • @ken8masters loose is fast. but yeah there was bucket loads of opposite there

  • Looks as if it needs some work on ATESA, rear wheeling everywhere! None the less totally AWESOME!!!

  • Comment removed

  • holy shit thats got some power

  • That is totally awesome! I just finished dropping my gtr engine in my car tonight and watching this totally geeezzz me up big time!

    Can't wait for the event!

  • WANT WANT WANT

  • Fast but could be faster if the monsterous amounts of oversteer are dialed out! Hopefuly he sorts it before the event :)

  • @Caly2c your are correct, rest assured some huge gains have been made this week and 4wd is now playing the game

  • @Caly2c its raining...

  • @Jolinator

Generaly a track is wet if it has been raining. And as you can see in this video its dry and in some shots you can actually see how much heat is in the track from the heat haze being emitted from the tarmac. Another dead giveaway is the lack of spay from the rear of the car and film deposits on the vehicle itself. The reason for all this sideways action is A power and B incorrect set up as it has been confirmed by GIANTRUSS

  • @Caly2c fair enough at 2:05 looked like some water on the windscreen

  • This is a VERY FAST car. Hope it can take the Japanese and US cars on come May 21st. Go Aussie!!!

  • insane R34!

  • I dont even know what to say. this car just crapped on all the competition

  • i very much doubt that looking at it now, has a huge lack of rear end grip

  • DANG !
