I was born at Long Beach Memorial in '82 and been livin 5 bloccs south of the hospital since then...went to Burnett, Hughes, and Poly--grad in 2000 with honors...Never been arrested, or joined the local gangs..I just been workin after I left LBCity College in 2002..Ive been harrased by the Long Beach Police Department almost daily. I even tried to join the force, they told me to fix my credit score..In long beach you get pulled over cuz youre a young black male PERIOD.

That's a stupid simplification. North LB has all kinds of nice quiet neighborhoods. Bixby Knolls is in the North far West and is all multi-million dollar mansions and is probably the richest area of the city except for maybe Naples Island. Cal Hights is a really nice area too and that's in the north west area.
When I say North West I mean North West, not in the middle, not near it but where the 710 and 91 meet where Long Beach butts up with Compton and Paramount. I simplified it, i'm not going to write a detailed essay about every neighborhood.
Well you divided it into four sections so anyone reading it would think that's what you meant. It's still an over-simplification - there are nice areas and "ghetto" areas scattered throughout the whole city. Btw, I live right behind Jordan which is right next to the 91 and 710 and it's a quiet, ethnically-diverse middle class neighborhood - Not exactly a ghetto.
