My mom lived there for 13 yrs by herself on the land now shared by 15 families. People live on top of each other. U couldn't buy land unless u were 1. Hindu 2. Bramhin 3. Veg'n. Salam alekum. Muslims & Khrischans were not allowed in my 'Hindu' colony. A middle class area. 2day, the cost of land alone would make it impossible 2 afford. I'm talking 50's/60's. Muslims lived in the slums or w buffaloes in our suburb. Now, my relative tells me Indian Govt will file law suit on behalf of Muslim if Muslim wants 2 live in an area. Salam alekum. The Iraqi girl died. Her dad (?) hit her w car. She went in coma & passed on in hospital. Dad couldn't handle the fact 20 yr old girl had her own mind. I see these kind of news all the time. There was the case of a Paki woman whose family wanted 2 kill her 'cause she wanted 2 marry a man considered 'lower' level by her Paki politician dad.
