I also like Vaibhavis choreography better. Yes, probably Saroj had a bad day :-)

The main dancer looks stiff. Also she has a much tighter skirt than Madhuri in the film, so maybe that's the reason for all that hopping around? With a wide skirt, you can make much more of spins, and the legs move more freely.

saroj ji is queen, but i muss mention that vaibhavi did a much better job. this song requires a lot of energy and thumkas, a fact which saroj ji has overlooked and gave the whole song look very dull. vaibhavi gave honest twists and turns which made madhuri look gracious as she was ever. A dissapointment from the veteran saroj ji. Where is here charm of "hawa hawai", "kisi ke haanth na ayegi","mere haantho mein","maar dala"?

Actually Saroj khan's choreography is unique and as good as the movie's! The pretty girl in the middle needs good help in coordinating her brain and movements with rhythms and expressions. So that she can relax and enjoy dancing. That was the only problem.

Amrita, you´re so on point! Was thinking the same thing, she kinda proves that beauty doesn´t matter when you´re dancing. She´s just drop dead gorgeous who ever she is but the dance.....oh man! She looks stressed and stiff.

And yeah, the choreography as a whole was far away from a signature Saroj one. Just like very few, small parts of it. Maybe Ustadha Khan was having a bad day? ;)
