Yes Cossacks are brave and prude.But they are also ruthless brute without humanity. Cossacks were the vanguard of Slavs in the East. They conquered Siberia, they fought against the Turks and Napoleon and cleaned up the steppes of tatars and other scum. They resisted Communism fighting in the White Army and then alongside with the Germans. Stalin tried to exterminate all their people but he didn't manage it.
