I think this movie bombed at the box office, because Malibu was such a vacuous, dull, non-person. As was Harry.
Wiki says that all the hype was built around Sharon, in a bikini. Coppertone had an ad featuring Sharon, and Mattel even created the "Malibu Barbie" in a tie-in...
Sadly, "Malibu" is the lame note in this movie. Other than her physical beauty, she's almost brain dead.
Too bad, because this isn't a bad film, otherwise.
