I think its great that we are makin a stand. Its time that more people were educated about this awful illness. I am 28 years old and i have pots. I have been told by many doctors that it is just all in my head and that its just stress. but this is a reeal thing and we need to push this so others dont have to go through what we went through. I have told have posted this on my face book page and told my friends about it so i hope i can get alot of people to sign. god bless!!
I signed the petition because I too, have a form of Dysautonomia. Mine is called Mitral Valve Prolapse Syndrome/Dysautonomia and it is most definitely very debilitating and in fact, this is one of the reasons I had to retire on disability six years ago at the age of 48. There are so few doctors who are aware of or have even heard of Dysautonomia. Thanks for bringing this to the attention of the public and hopefully the media.
Thank you for telling everyone on youtube about the petition, I am so glad I was able to sign! And thank you for making your videos, really, they have helped me a lot and actually inspired me to give a speech about POTS for my speech class. I never really tell anyone about my illness, so I was kind of scared to give the speech, but seeing this made me realize it is time people know about POTS! And I'm glad I was able to spread awareness, even if it was just to a few people in my classroom :)
Yes! This is a wikid idea! Dr. Oz would be a great place to spread awareness too and possibly tell us something we don't know about it! Will definitely send and get my family too.
Kylie, this is such a great idea. My daughter Kelsey, 17, has been suffering for 7 years with Dysautonomia, going from doctor to doctor with very little relief. It is so frustrating. Thank you. If you need any help, PLEASE let us know.
I'll sign the petition! :) See, I wish I create a another petition stopping the mockery of seizures/Epilepsy on YouTube (and I did but I was too anxious that my family would find it and I would get in trouble) but I think that runs the risk of getting found by people I don't feel comfortable with...
I'm in such a predicament. See, I want to make a difference, but my anxiety would just go out of control...
Many thanks, from all of us patients, families, and friends, who would like to see Dysautonomia/POTS Awareness take a sharp turn for the Good. Highest Personal Regards, Dr M
P.S. I signed and then confirmed my email address; after that, the Petition was officially signed.
