  • I remember, always wondered why he couldn't have been the comic book rewrite of the hawkman.his origin seemed more plausible.

  • Sweet. I remember this from way back. Judson Scott FTW!

  • @ErichTheMadBassist yep...then he joind Khan's crew, and got some good ole wrath on Kirk...

  • This Show Came out in 1981 you idiot' Not 1982.

  • illuminati symbolism

  • @MariusLio theres stop all the illuminati bullshit, its all over the internet these days, who gives a shit just make the most of your own life and stop looking for excuses for yourself

  • Yet another tv show that i loved as a child and hated to see end so soon, like Sledghammer, Voyagers, Tails of the Gold Monkey and probably others that i have completely forgotten about, they were awesome.

  • @livingRPG Agreed! Weird too I just looked up tales of the gold monkey right before. Love you tube. I look up and like everything that mattered to me growing up. Its like my last will and testament

  • @rainbirdeleven Yeah, i gotta totally agree with ya, youtube is awesome for finding all the greats from childhood that have made us what we are today!

  • @livingRPG you took the words... right out of my... mooooouth....

  • @livingRPG yeah man, sledgehammer!

  • Oh man I have't seen this in years!

  • As for the idiot who mistakenly said this actor played Khan's son in Star Trek 2. CHECK the facts. Khan had no son. Joaquin was in the original episode 'Space Seed' as one of Khan's 'followers'. How hard is it to look things up? I guess alot harder than to just make it up.....

  • @ghostwhowalks333 I did hear somewhere that the scene explaining that Joachim was Khan's son was left out of the movie, but then again I haven't heard that from any other source. (I don't even remember where that bit of info came from, It may or may not have been a credible source now that I think about it!) From what I've read it's more of a theory that Joachim was Khan's son then anything else. Actually, in the book "To Reign In Hell", it's stated that Joachim is the son of Joaquin.

  • @orangevonzeppelin The character of Joachim appeared in the 'Space Seed' episode played by another actor when they are ready to take over the Enterprise Khan calls his second in command by his name. I did not know about the son thing. Maybe a possibility.

  • I thought he died with the Reliant.

  • I thought I was the only one who remembered this.....

  • Of course, this got recycled as 'Starman'.

  • Pheonix looks a lil too much like Nuclear Man from superman 3 or Yor Hunter from the Future... but if they was cross dressing women.

  • ...endowed with a 'superior intelligence'...

    Sounds like Khan already.

  • I remember in one episode he actually played an arcade version of the phoenix game.

  • @j2times2006

Yeah, that was the pilot episode I saw back when it first aired. I'm telling you, I went spastic when I saw him playing the phoenix game. I thought it was the coolest thing ever on TV... then they cancelled it. It was a good show too.

  • Dullest tv intro ever

  • I watch this in Mexico back then...

  • ILLUMINATI

  • @mainmedic because of the triangle? lol

  • @EternalNaga187 But of course ;-)

  • Shows like this are responsible for most new age crackpot theories. LOL

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING. YOU HAVE JUST CONFIRMED MY GREATEST SUSPICION ABOUT MYSELF. ONE LOVE!!

  • haha, it's laughing to see some recurrent appearing badguys in some tv series, had their own tv serie where they was the goodguy!

  • We are currently moving in to the new age of the phoenix

I've learned a lot this year and all signs point to the sun

keep your eyes open and do your research people

    PEACE

  • that was odd....

  • Those were all the best shows man!

  • god i love that show.. it was cool back then

  • It has illuminati written all over it LOL

  • why he gotta be a white dude. this be some bullshit, man

  • Judson Scott also played a murderous cult leader on the early 80s tv show Strike Force.......wait it could have been on Today's FBI my memory gets these two shows mixed up sometimes.

  • I remember his show as well. The main thing I remember is him playing a video game that had something to do with a phoenix and was winning quite easily with all these kids watching him and cheering him on.

  • talk about Gnostic characters in the pop culture information world...

  • This guy is everywhere. Chicks must love him.

  • Loved this show and have been looking for it everywhere.

  • Comment removed

  • Too short a series and Judson Scott got a raw deal in Hollywood altogether.

  • I remember this >>>They Indoctrinated Us early in life through TV>>>Hidden Agenda

  • @TheSavage1love What, you don't enjoy all of the shilluminati references? Cmon, how else will kids know who their masters are?

  • @TehHampsterHead Hahahaha

  • The sound effects is the same as iceman from spider man/amazing friends.

  • Loved this (extremely) short lived show as a kid. The amulet he wore was badass. The highlight was watching Bennu use the medallion's sun beam. I always remembered the sound it made -- which I swear was also the same sound of a production company logo back in the 80's. Can't remember who. Bandasarian, was it?

Like a few already mentioned, I also remember him from Wrath of Khan, and the episode where he played the Phoenix (Galaga clone) video game, beat it, and let 2 kids have free gam

  • Judson Scott also played on an episode of "The Greatest American Hero" ["It's Only Rock n' Roll"] as the leader of a rock band.

  • The reason shows like this don't survive is if the narrator has to explain the premise of the show while the opening credits are rolling...that's a signal that the show is heading for disaster.

  • @texasghost like the A-Team and Knight Rider?

  • @al3699

    Not the same.

  • At least today a different type of show like this would survive either on cable or with a cult following. The 80's was a great time for Tv but you weren't given much time to survive.

  • I remember this show from my teenage years, even the music. Made a big impression on me, which is saying something considering it only aired for a month. I remember he was sort of like "Kwai Chang Caine from Outer Space". His dialog was pithy and yoda-like. It was basically a super-hero type show where the hero had various psychic abilities and the ability to fry anything in sight (since his power came from the sun).

  • Damn I don't remember this show at all. There were so many in the 1980's that died a quick death.

  • a mormon series lol

  • Are there any episodes avaliable to watch? At least the pilot?

  • I remember this show. Stupid ABC kept moving it around the schedule

  • I remember trying to make a power medallion like that. It was only one day, but I have no explanation on how I was able to lift a large slab of wood (at least large for a 7 year old) over my head with it, but not without it. Placebo maybe. Love that music, even if it was 80's synthesizer cheese. I think it cancelled because nobody wants to see Judson Scott play a good guy.

  • I do remember this show and the tv pilot movie that spawned it. I remember making my own phoenix medallion out of wood. I kid you not!!

  • i loved this show as well, i am trying to remember the name of a show that used to come on before Dr. Who. seems like it had an eyeball that came across the screen and very catching theme song. i have heard in the movie lately, cloudy with a chance of meatballs. The tune also starts off the p-diddy song The saga continues. i have been trying to figure this out for years please help, ty

  • No one i know has heard of this show!! I loved it! I thank my Mother for her taste in tv!! And thank you for posting it!!

  • I was an 8 year old when this show was on the air. I loved it, and have remembered it since.

  • god I remember this show and the golden monkey, how I love these shows,

  • I agree

add Serenity to that list and I firmly agree.

  • I agree

  • Why are these characters always "RELENTLESSLY PURSUED"!

  • I love how in the opening it says the Phoenix was endowed with superior intelligence but when the same actor was dying on the bridge of the USS Reliant in Wrath OF Khan he grabs Khan's tunic and says "Yours is the superior intellect".

  • hi everybody. can someone pls help me out. i am searching for a tv-series, where a man was able to adsorb electric energy and release flashes. i thought he was called be-man, but i am not sure. can someone pls tell me, what series ist was? i think he was able to run fast too and it was not a drawn comic-story. thx a lot.

  • @atsekjoker It might have been Misfits of Science. Johnny B Good was the guy that could absorb energy and spit energy bolts out of his hands

  • @cleowilliam

yeah THX. that is what makes internet so cool. you really helped me out. if someone is interested, here is the link to a german fanpage: misfitsofscience[dot]com.

  • @atsekjoker You might be talking about "The Power Within," aka "Power Man." The protagonist in that tv movie had the powers you mention, plus he had to release the electricity inside him periodically or he would die. And he had some kind of wrist watch to control it or something like that. Look it up on IMDB. (It's the 1979 movie, not the later one.)

  • @British1500 I also remember Automan (never saw it) Tale s of the Gold Monkey, Bring 'Em Back Alive, Manimal, The Quest. Voyagers. Just My Luck. Even if I never saw half of them, I remember those short lived 80s network shows. But I absolutely do not remember this. It looks very interesting though. If I saw that intro I would remember it.

  • I loved this show, corny as it was, and I was technically an adult at the time (28). But as the son of Kahn, the name in the credits is not Judson Scott, although it had to be this actor, no one else looked like this. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to get many parts after this...maybe something about a fictionalized T.E. Lawrence (as in 'of Arabia') as a young man?

  • Seems like a LOT of seven-year-olds LOVED this show. Too bad no adults did...

  • lol this was a good show...back when tv still had good ideas!!!!

  • "...endowed with a superior mullet."

Wow! Only 5 episodes. Those mere 5 episodes made a lasting impression on me.

  • Think I saw this guy in an X Files episode during one of the last seasons.

  • Not a bad concept for a story...kind of a Lost type show. I say they should try it again today and see how it does.

Besides he was really, really cute, LOL

  • Not a bad concept for a story...kind of a Lost type show. I say they should try it again today and see how it does.

  • It wasn't even 10 episodes only 5

  • I had an unhealthy obsession with this show--I did not know it was for only 10 episodes.

  • i remember this VAGULY around the time of the greatest american hero. I remember the episode where he plays the PHOENIX videogame, and isnt there an episode where a girl is boung and gagged then the office is set on fire?

anyone remember the person who fought crime riding a motorcycle? A superhero? that is the only way I can describe it.

  • @MichaelHansenFUN You mean Street Hawk?

  • @stembuk you are right!!!

  • This might be the show I"ve been thinking about for years.I recall an ep of a show where a guy with super human powers shakes the hand of a kid at a little league baseball game. When he does he can tell the kid has a very bad medical problem that is about to explode and kill him.He tries to get the kid to the doctor but no one in town will believe him and thinks he's crazy. So in the end he kidnaps the kid and rushes him to the hospital where the doc finds the problem just as the cops bust in.

  • I thought I was the only one who remembered and loved this old show! I'm glad I'm not. To me it's up there with Voyagers, Manimal, and Misfits of Science.

  • illuminatis *(-.-)

  • Glad to see the love for this show! I really loved it as a kid and was all into the "hero on the run" thing. Bennu was a man of peace who was trying to find his purpose in the world. I remember meeting Judson Scott at a Star Trek (?) convention years after and I asked him about the show. He said he was still working to bring it back to TV. Shame it never happened. It was a cool show.

  • I remember watching this as a child. This might sound crazy, but I recall there being some wolf or wild dog mixed up in this.

  • for those like autobotark who wondered who the actor is his name is Judson Scott, he has done alot of good movie roles including Pallantine in blade, Joachim in wrath of khan, and Lt. James in the original V series, he's a excellent actor and musician who unfortunately as far as i'm concerned hasn't gotten the recognition he deserves, because he's most definetly been blessed with many excellent and strong good talents

  • That looks so familiar!!!

  • Quite heavy on the Illuminati themes.

  • @teamxxxsleep Seriously. This and ISIS tv show.

  • 'THE PHOENIX' NOW HAS A FACEBOOK GROUP!

    ***JOIN TODAY***

  • I never forgot this!! I'm glad I'm not the only one that remembers!!!

  • I remember playing super heroes with my friends and I was the phoenix. I made a cheesy medallion neclackes out of string and a tennis ball can top. I drew my emblem on it and I WAS the phoenix!!! ;-)

  • i thought the actor looked familar from star trek to the phoenix i wish it had lasted it looked grand

  • It only lasted 10 episodes so it was the obscure of the obscure. But it left a lasting impression on my 7 year mind at the time. Plus, it was Khan's son.

  • @fschalk -- And don't forget, he also played Sobi in episode 1.22 of TNG named, "Symbiosis," AND as a Romulan in episode 4.14 of Voyager named, "Message in a Bottle."

  • @fschalk I think you're being generous with saying it lasted 10 episodes. Aside from the pilot movie, they had 4 episodes. It was my all-time favorite sci-fi series (since it dealt with mythology AND ancient astronauts). I was 17 and was part of a letter writing campaign to save the series .... obviously to no avail. Since it left a lasting impression ... sorry we couldn't get it done, dude. But we tried. :-) LOL ... but I still have my memorabilia!!

  • @fschalk Had a lasting impression on my 7 year old mind at the time, too! Maybe it had something to do with the popular video game PHOENIX at the time as well as me loving Shaazam, Isis and the Super Friends. lol

  • @fschalk I remember this. Starred Judson Scott, yes, the blonde from Wrath of Khan.

  • Wow! I never even heard of this show and I know my obscure TV!

  • Fekthis, I agree. Well said!

  • The Phoenix, Manimal, Automan,The Powers of Mathew Star,Voyagers,Tales of the Gold Monkey, Otherworld, Werewolf, how many times can network television piss me off by cancelling the shows I loved without ever giving any of them a chance. That should have been the Golden Age instead we got a billion episodes of family ties or the cosby show. Now they don't even try, it's just one low budget reality show after the next. Cancel the networks I say Cancel them all to hell.

  • @Fektthis you came up with good classic shows...Manimal, Automan,The Powers of Mathew Star were some of my favorites!!!

  • @Fektthis

Well said. You are forgeting that television was created to be a mind control instrument not entertainment.

They can't have steller programs to ruin the curve.

  • @Fektthis

Dude, all these shows were lame as hell. We just were too young, and needy for something sensational, to know better. Today, the special effects are better is all.

  • @Fektthis I know how you feel. In my case, Outlaws, the Magnificent Seven, Advs of Brisco County Jr., Misfits of Science among four or five you mentioned.

  • @Fektthis You ain't kidding, fortunately their are ways, fair or foul, to find these lost classics.

  • @Fektthis It's almost like the networks have a long history of taking no chances with interesting, original television.

  • @Fektthis Damn dude! You ain't lying! Preach!!!

  • @Fektthis I agree with you wholeheartly (tho i knew nothing of the phoenix) realitly shows piss me off. What? No one has any imagination anymore? *SIIIGH* But i must correct you on the show Voyagers. They had no choice in the matter when they canceled. Their leading man accidently shot himself with a prop gun, remember? He died.

  • @Sovajin John Eric Hexum died after Voyagers was cancelled. He was on the set of his new show when he had the accident. Truly sad.

  • @Fektthis Really? Hum. I must have read the bio wrong or misinterpeted. But your right. Very sad. I loved that show. Think i learned some actual history from it for school. With enough time i think they could have been great. (P.S. - sorry for the very late reply; and thanx for the info)

  • @Fektthis I know just how you feel, I remeber some of these shows too. They have done this more recently aswell, I really like one called Prey and what did they do, you've guessed it cancelled it. And even if you do get one that continues on they are forever changing the days and times around or showing it in the middle of the night, like they have done with The Event and Outcasts. Networks need to realize that these are the kind of shows we want and they can't keep churning out mindless tat.

  • @Fektthis

    I wholeheartedly agree.

  • @Fektthis -- I heartily agree. There were/are shows I like(d) and they ended up cancelled. Remember, "VIPER"? Or "Hard Time On Planet Earth"? How about "Benji, Zax & the Alien Prince," just to name a few? Oh, well. . . that's TV for ya. :-/

  • @Fektthis for sure today there is no thought process nothing complicated just garbage music too

  • @cambonious23 So true. Every new show seems to be a clone of the other. We have far too many drama/forsensics shows these days. The movie and tv show remakes are jokes as well.

  • I thought this came after 82` like 85` unless what I saw was a rerun. Also his costar was a blonde Shelley something

  • @nikkibox It was probably on sindicated tv in 85 ( I think it was even shown on Sci-fy for a brief while ),.. but it's original prime time network run was definately 82, I remember it.

  • Wow... I thought I was the only one that remebered that show.. I was facinated...I later became a "Trekkie" and saw him in "The Wrath of Khan". Time to dig up some old shows and rewrite them instead of all this reality crap..

  • I haven't see this show inna long time!!!!!! WOW! Good Work You Tube! Y'all bring back A lot of memories!!!!!

  • were is the rest of the eps in you tube

  • I knew this TV show existed ... it goes back to one of my earliest childhood memories. (I was only 6 when it was on TV.) The only memory I had of this show was the golden medallion that he would hold up to the sun to get his power. I was too young to know who any of the actors were and I couldn't remember the name of the show. And no one I knew had ever heard of it.

So finally ... after all these years, it's awesome to see this intro ... proving this show was real and not my imagination. :)

  • @DavidWCourtney -- I was 5 when it was on. I remember watching this show with my mom. When I watched the youtube clip I also became aware that this was one of the first (and only things) I learned to play on a casio keyboard.

  • to bad its not on playstion 3 games it would be "phoenix" rebrith aaa

  • judson gave his quest for girl & whent to23 &24centuntry.( star trek world) i gest we are too crazy for him? its a joke.....

  • It was the show everyone in school talked about. My favorite scene is when he breaks out of the jail cell.

  • Huh-Larious! Thanks for alerting me to a series I'm sure I would have loved back then! So fun! Wonder what happened to Judson Scott? I know he did Star Trek II w/ Ricardo Montalban. I'll look him up.

  • The hero was named Bennu, named after the bird sacred to the Sun God, Ra. Coincidentally, it was the Egyptian counterpart to the Phoenix. Bennu (in the show) gained powers from sunlight, and at one point, even played the "Phoenix" video game...

  • "endowed with a superior member"

  • Nice bling.

  • Didnt the star of this show or something. I think thats why it was cancelled.

  • Aaaaaah, the 70's. When DENIM was king!

  • I liked this show ...i wish it was on DVD i would buy it

  • @lsarac1

The DVD of the show is available at this link:

    skaryguyvideo(dot)com/phoenix.

  • blond?? loooooool

  • i remember this show it didn't last long

  • Wow, thanks for posting this. Blast from the past!! Wild thing is this guy is still acting. I know he's been in multiple Star Trek (old and new). I don't know what it was but I was always addicted to the short-lived stuff. Did a good job feeding my imagination! Who says TV can't raise your kids!! lol

  • Judson Scott. I loved that shirt constantly unbuttoned.

  • The irony of this intro is that today, those interested in the ancient astronaut theory, much of what is said in this intro is based on real claims made by indegenous cultures all around the world. The Mayans and the Hopi talk extensively about this type of human history. The main character looks like someone from the Pleidian star system...just my two cents folks.

  • I was watching TV back in those days and never saw this!!!

  • I watched this show and was sad to see it didn't make it.

  • If this show was Revived, I know it can do Much, Much Better.

  • @AaronBruceLadner PLEASE! Don't encourage hollywood...all the do now is try remaking the past..BADLY

  • cheesy show

  • this judson scott dude looks familiar! i think he played a lot of bad guys probably on the fore mentioned manimal and automan, but wasn't he also on the fall guy ,the a- team, knight rider,v ?...buck rogers even...maybe?i still have a hard time believing this was on abc, btw!

  • @snoopydance71 He was Khan's right hand man in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

  • Short lived?!

Damn, I was just a newborn babe back then..

  • I think there were only 4 or 5 episodes made. Pity.

  • the narrator sounds a bit like the guy that voiced Optimus Prime, but i could b wrong....

  • @scyduckzard2007 your wrong probably as usual

  • was this on a network or was it syndicated?either way,wow!..wasn,t manimal and automan on around this time too?

  • @snoopydance71 : Aired on ABC in early spring of 1982.

  • Oh man, I remember this! Awesome show.

  • I loved this show. I wish I knew where I could find it on video. Any ideas. I have searched the internet and nothing. Let me know. Thx.

  • I was 6 when this came on and I loved it. Thank you for posting!!!

  • I remember this!!

  • i always thought that was a badass necklace..i still want one

  • @jango67 you can get one from ebay look up the phoenix amulet

  • Another show I started watching as a kid and then it suddenly disappeared. That happened to me a lot when I was a kid. Shows like this would get one season or maybe a few episodes, and then they would be taken off the air due to being cancelled. I was also watching Voyagers and Tales of the Gold Monkey around this time.

  • I used to want one of those pendants SOOOOO BAD!!

  • @cebrum1 i got one lol,

  • @cebrum1 i got one lol, you can get one off ebay, just type in the phoenix amulet

  • @wolverine5300 For real?? LMAO!! You actually got one? AND they have them on Ebay?? NIIIICE! Thanks!

  • I remember this show being on, but not much else about it.

  • ice man sound effect !!!!!!!

  • @rcredit yes, AKA 1982, The Sound.

  • @fschalk oh yea spider man and his amazing friends the ice man sound hahhahah man you are so on the money !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rcredit Actually that sound effect is older than IceMan. The Super Friends Legion of Doom series. :-)

  • they are portraying the dajjal (false Messiah) in this show. thats where the traingle comes and the project that needs to be completed, as mentioned in this clip signifies "the new world order". the western media are doing this form time to time in a hidden and secret way.

  • they are portray
